The BYDSIM 2026 build continues! Week 3 takes the weekly mileage up to approximately 42km, with a 22km long aerobic run, progressive running, and cruise intervals. The focus this week is building endurance while developing your ability to maintain a strong, controlled effort.

Fuel the distance, don't just run it. As the long runs increase beyond 20km, your nutrition and hydration strategy becomes increasingly important. Practise taking fluids and carbohydrates during your long runs so you can identify what works well for you before race day. Your marathon nutrition plan should be trained—not improvised.
