We’re pleased to announce the arrival of Brazilian centre-back Hugo Gomes as the club’s first foreign signing for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

The 31-year-old joins the club following a successful three-year spell with Vietnamese champions Công An Hà Nội FC, and brings a wealth of overseas experience — having also plied his trade in Spain, Portugal, South Korea and Qatar.

His game intelligence and defensive qualities will complement the players we already have, as we gear up for a demanding season on both the domestic and continental fronts.

The 26-year-old winger joins the Sailors following a productive three-year spell with Tampines Rovers, and will add energy and dynamism to our wide areas.
