And just like that, our Chengdu journey has come to an end. ❤️

Our final day began with a visit to the Chengdu Museum, where we explored historical artefacts and learnt more about the city’s rich history and culture. We also had the opportunity to take part in a traditional musical instrument workshop, trying our hand at playing the instruments ourselves. (Be sure to check out our stories for a closer look!)

After one last delicious Chinese lunch together, it was time for a little shopping before making our way to the airport. The squishy stores were definitely a favourite, and many of our dancers went home with some adorable new finds. ☁️✨

As we headed home, we reflected on an unforgettable week filled with inspiring performances, new experiences, meaningful friendships, and countless memories both on and off the stage. Thank you to everyone who was part of this incredible journey, and we’re so glad everyone arrived home safely.

After three unforgettable days at IYDC, Day 1 of our Chengdu tour gave us the opportunity to slow down, explore the city, and spend more time bonding with one another beyond the stage. 🐼🎋

We visited the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, where we learnt more about giant pandas and red pandas, discovering fascinating facts about their growth, habits, and unique adaptations. Our journey continued to a bamboo park, where we explored the remarkable variety of bamboo species and even learnt how to create sounds using bamboo leaves.

Of course, no day in Chengdu would be complete without enjoying its local cuisine. From one delicious meal to the next, we were warmly welcomed with an abundance of authentic dishes that kept everyone well fed throughout the day.

While the itinerary was simple, it was the moments in between that made the day so special. Sharing meals, exploring together, and laughing over new experiences allowed friendships to grow even stronger, reminding us that some of the most meaningful memories are made not only through dance, but through the journey we share together.

Here’s to many more moments of learning, laughter, and lasting friendships. 🩰

We are incredibly proud of Audrey and how she has matured into a young dancer who can use not only her technique, but also her facial expressions, musicality and body language to tell the story of her dance. Watching her grow in confidence and develop the ability to communicate emotion on stage has been such a joy.

What makes these achievements even more special is that this was their very first time dancing together as a duo.
From learning to move as one, trusting each other on stage, and developing a genuine connection through every rehearsal, Ada and Cristal have shown that great partnerships are built through hard work, communication, and mutual support. Their beautiful chemistry, musicality and commitment to one another truly shone through in every performance.

Duet work is about more than dancing side by side—it’s about listening, encouraging one another, and performing with one shared heartbeat. Watching these two young dancers grow together has been an absolute joy.

Congratulations, Ada & Cristal! We are so proud of your achievements and, even more importantly, the teamwork and friendship you’ve built along the way.

Congratulations to all our AQ Dancers on your outstanding RAD Graded Exam results!

We are incredibly proud to share that 80% of our AQ students achieved Distinctions & High Distinctions this year!

Behind every achievement is dedication, perseverance and countless hours of hard work. A huge THANK YOU to all our AQ Teachers who have been working tirelessly in drilling and honing the dance technique of our students, guiding every child patiently and nurturing them to achieve their fullest potential. Your passion, commitment and belief in our students inspire excellence every single day.

We would also like to thank all our AQ Parents who have placed their trust in us and have been so supportive of their children’s commitment to their dance education journey. Your encouragement, dedication and partnership go hand in hand with us as we continue striving for more for our young dancers, while still balancing their everyday activities.

Grade 3s in Class!

Our Grade 3 students have been hard at work preparing for their upcoming Royal Academy of Dance exams — refining technique, strengthening artistry, and of course, sharing lots of laughs along the way! 💖

It’s such a lovely age to teach — happy, curious, and soaking up knowledge like little sponges! Every plié, tendu, and smile brings them one step closer to growth, both as dancers and as individuals.

Keep up the great work, Grade 3s — we’re proud of you and cheering you on always!
