We did it. Double Platinum.
Our debut on the Get The Beat stage 🔥
More than the result and receiving incredible feedback from the judges, I’m mostly grateful for the journey.
It has been a long time since I’ve enjoyed the entire creative process this much. From the rehearsals, discussions, laughter, challenges, and breakthroughs, every part of this experience reminded me why I love creating and teaching.
Thank you AXIS for trusting me and for giving your all to this project. Watching each of you grow individually, grow closer together, support one another, and celebrate each other’s strengths has been the most fulfilling part of this journey.
Teamwork. Community. Growth.
Those things don’t happen by chance. They begin with each individual choosing to show up, contribute, and care for the people around them.
A special thank you to our family and friends, for showing up and giving us your utmost support in every way possible. Your presence alone truly means a lot to us 🤍
This is a strong start, and I have a feeling we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible. 🚀

Our dance partnership may have taken a back seat, but we’re still very much a team, always rooting for each other’s pursuits in life 💪🏻
Here’s to success and fulfilment in all that we do 🤍

This injury really made me pause and reflect.
After my hospitalisation and MRI results, the doctor diagnosed me with L4/L5 disc degeneration, a disc bulge, and an annular tear. It took me some time to process everything, but I’m glad I found my way around things and am glad to (literally) be able to stand back on my own two feet.
What I’m especially grateful for is how the knowledge and practice of yoga, has intertwined so beautifully in this entire episode — both in the physical and mental aspects.
Many of the rehab exercises prescribed by the physiotherapist are essentially movements rooted in yoga. And the philosophy that has been sitting deeply with me is Ahimsa — non-harming. A reminder that kindness is not only something we offer others, but something we must also practice towards ourselves. Especially in moments where our bodies are asking us to slow down, listen, and heal before it fights back in ways that forces us to listen.
This season may look different, but I’m excited to return stronger, wiser, and more resilient — in dance, in movement, and in life.
Looking forward to sharing more with you in my next video!
And if you’d like to join me in my yoga practice journey, do drop me a DM — I’d love to guide you through, step-by-step 🤍

Incredibly stoked to share the debut of AXIS Movement Co.
AXIS was born from a simple but necessary intention — to create space for female dancers in the Latin dance community to be seen, to grow, and to fully express their artistry as soloists.
For too long, opportunities for women to move beyond partnership dynamics have been limited. AXIS exists to shift that, opening new pathways for exploration, visibility, and evolution.
Rooted in Latin technique, AXIS is a grounded centre — a point of control and clarity.
From that centre, movement expands.
The axis remains stable, while the body explores, questions, and breaks past what it was told it should be.
This is not about fitting into the system.
It’s about expanding beyond it.
And this is just the beginning.
AXIS Movement Co will be making our debut at Get The Beat on 4 June 2026.
Save the date. Come witness it for yourself. 🤍
More details coming soon.

the past few days have been some of the scariest i’ve experienced.
on thursday night, i injured my back while teaching. even standing hurt, but i pushed through and finished the class.
by friday morning, everything changed. i couldn’t move. the pain was so intense i couldn’t even stand. i had to crawl, drag myself just to get to the toilet. at one point, the room was spinning and i genuinely thought something was very wrong.
i called 995, and the ambulance took me to the hospital.
every small movement sent waves of pain through my spine. i remember lying on the stretcher, tears just flowing uncontrollably, with thoughts running through my head:
“what if this is the end of my career?”
“what if i can’t walk again?”
i felt myself spiralling into a bottomless pit.
i was wheelchaired around for tests — x-rays, bloodwork, everything — and the doctors diagnosed it as an acute muscle spasm. i was admitted and told i’d need to stay until i could walk independently again.
4 days later, i’m finally back on my feet.
i’m incredibly grateful for everyone who showed up — whether it was visiting, checking in, or sending messages. it reminded me that even in moments where everything feels like it’s falling apart, i’m not alone.
this experience was also a wake-up call.
to slow down.
to listen to my body.
to stop pushing through pain like it’s something to ignore.
as ironic as it sounds, the doctors didn’t just give me medication — they told me to keep moving, to keep exercising, to build strength. and that hit me deeply.
this is exactly what i believe in. what i teach. what i stand for.
movement isn’t just performance — it’s longevity, it’s health, it’s being able to live your life fully.
for now, i’ll be focusing on rest and gradual recovery. i may not be able to return to full capacity immediately, but i’ll take it one step at a time.
i’ll see you in class again real soon 🤍
