If you’re a parent in Singapore, your child's physical health likely falls into one of two extremes: 🇸🇬
**Spectrum A:** Your child is becoming super sedentary. They’re constantly glued to their devices, their posture is slouching, and they are barely getting any active time outside. 📱
**Spectrum B:** Your child is highly active in sports (football, track, swimming, tennis), and as a parent, you want to help them unlock their full athletic potential and stay injury-free. 🏆
No matter which side of the spectrum your child is on, the underlying solution is exactly the same:
They need a structured physical support system.
But here is the truth that surprises most parents:
Just 'going outside to play' or running around is no longer enough.
Unstructured cardio does not fix the muscle imbalances caused by hours of sitting at a school desk or looking at an iPad.
And it doesn’t build the structural joint strength a young athlete needs to prevent sudden ligament tears on the court.
What they actually need is guided strength training. 💪
By introducing structured weight training with curated exercises tailored to your child's specific structural needs, you give them:
✅ **For the Sedentary Kid:** A screen-free hour that actively corrects desk posture, builds physical confidence, and kickstarts healthy habits.
✅ **For the Athlete:** Bulletproof joint armor, improved explosive power, and targeted injury prevention.
At The PIT, we make sure your child progresses SAFELY:
* We match them with the right coach to fit their unique personality.
* We instil flawless, lifelong lifting techniques.
* We welcome them into a supportive gym community that celebrates their progress.
Your child's first trial session at our private gym is completely on us.

"My kid don't want to exercise leh.. 🥲"
How like that?!!
If you're a parent , you probably understand the struggle.
TRUTH BOMB 💣
Oftentimes, it's not the sport that's boring. It might actually be the COACH!
Think about it.. if you were in your kids' shoes and were "forced" to train. Wouldn't you already be dreading it?
Why make it harder for yourself when the coach makes it harder for them?
Not saying this is the case ALL THE TIME. But if the coach has :
- No patience
- Makes no effort to engage with the child
- Explains concepts too elaborately
- Doesn't reward him for his achievements
- Doesn't make your child LAUGH or SMILE during any session
More likely than not, they probably aren't very personable.
Lucky for you, the trainers at The PIT are pretty personable..
Don't believe us? We understand..
But at least look at our "Testimonials" and "Kids Personal Training" services on our website before making a judgement call!
Subsequently, if you like what we offer - you may book a free PT consultation :)
You might be in your 30s and pregnant.
You might be in your 50s and the doctor just told you you're osteopenic.
You might be in your 60s and recovering from a hip replacement.
But whatever stage you are in, one thing is absolutely clear:
If you don't want to build strength for yourself, do it for your loved ones.
Strength is not a vanity metric. It is the single most important indicator of your healthspan—how many years you get to live fully active and independent.
Because we aren't just trying to "add years" to your life if those years mean sitting in a wheelchair, watching your family have fun from the sidelines.
We train for the quality of those years:
👶 To carry your infant children or grandchildren with absolute ease.
✈️ To hike and travel the world during your retirement years.
🌳 To go for walks in your 60s and 70s, rather than being bound to a chair.
As trainers, we’ve seen this first-hand with our own parents and loved ones. We've watched them lose their strength to inactivity, losing their independence far too early.
Don't let that be your future. Take action now, before your body begins to limit you.
The best part? Your first consultation session is completely on us so you can see if our training is the right fit.

"FOR WHAT I HIRE A PT SIA?!
I can do myself what.."
If you've ever heard your friend say this before, ask him -
"How often do you go to the gym then?"
Oftentimes, your friend will probably say
"Oh.. maybe like once a month. "Just to keep fit" "
If you're "keeping fit" with once a month training that is
- unstructured and random
- low intensity
Honestly you might as well skip the gym at that point!
Even if you don't plan to be an olympian or full-time athlete, to achieve some SEMBLANCE of your fitness goals there has to be
ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONSISTENCY!
Nobody's asking you to go to the gym 5x a week
Even if it's just 2x a week that would be great -
Let us at The PIT help you with your fitness goals, start today and you'll never look back 👀
15 years ago..
The PIT was born
From there, we've had numerous accidents on the floor..
A dumbbell dropped, a plate that leaned too heavily on a wall
So when clients ask us - why don't you fix these blemishes now?
We'd like to say that without these minor blemishes, we wouldn't be THE PIT. 😉
We'd like to think that there's a pretty funny story behind every crack. Even if there wasn't one to begin with 🥹
Why try to figure out the gym all by yourself? 🤨
You’re in your 40s and finally decide it’s time to start lifting.
You walk into the gym, a bit unsure of what to do, thinking the machines are the safest and easiest place to begin.
Then reality hits:
🏋️♂️ A group of teenagers crowded around the squat rack.
💪 Huge guys monopolising the weight machines.
A clique in their 20s camping on the cables between sets.
You hesitate to ask how many sets they have left. You feel awkward, out of place, and like you're intruding on someone else’s turf.
So what happens?
You retreat to the cardio corner. You hop on the treadmill because it's the only machine available. You walk for 20 minutes, pack your bag, and leave feeling defeated and unaccomplished—having done none of the strength work you actually came to do.
You shouldn't have to fight for equipment or feel intimidated just to take care of your health.
At The PIT, we do things completely differently:
✅ **Guaranteed Equipment:** A private personal training studio where the space and equipment are reserved for you—no waiting, no awkward asks.
✅ **Zero Mental Overload:** You don't have to guess or think. You show up, and your coach guides you through every single rep.
✅ **Bespoke Programming:** A plan tailored to your body, your injuries, and your pace.
When you remove the friction, the crowds, and the guesswork, staying consistent is simple.

If you’d told Tatiana three years ago that she’d actually enjoy going to the gym, she would have laughed.
She was never a "gym person." She played tennis three or four times a week, loved her walks in the Botanic Gardens, and honestly thought that was enough.
Then one day she looked at her arms and thought… maybe it’s time to stop wearing sleeveless tops.
But this is Singapore. That’s not really an option! 😅
So Tatiana decided to give strength training a try. Her kids had been training at The PIT for years, so she started coming with her younger son after school.
She won’t pretend she loved it from Day 1. It definitely wasn’t her thing. But the coaches were so encouraging, and the private atmosphere made it easy for her to keep coming back.
Fast forward three years later:
Tatiana is stronger than she ever expected to be. Her posture has improved, she feels fitter, everyday life feels easier, and training just twice a week has simply become part of her routine.
Tatiana is 54 now, and she doesn’t train to look 25.
She trains because she wants to stay strong, healthy, and independent for as long as possible.
As people get older—especially as women—they naturally lose muscle if they don’t use it. Strength training is one of the best things they can do for their health, their bones, and their future.

Why your rock is actually SAND⏳
Ancient Egyptian pyramids share one key feature: they’re widest at the bottom and narrowest at the top. Flip one upside down, and it topples over immediately.
Yet, this is exactly how most of us in Singapore build our fitness.
Think about your favorite weekend pastimes:
🎾 Pickleball
🎾 Padel
🏃♂️ Long-distance running at MBS
These activities require sudden, explosive cutting movements. They place massive weight-bearing stress on your joints.
If you kick off your fitness journey with these sports as your foundation, what do you think happens?
Exactly. Your pyramid topples.
If you’ve ever tried jumping into heavy cardio or racquet sports before building a solid strength foundation, you know the exact feeling: the constant knee tweak, the aching lower back, the "banged up" shoulder.
Your rock is actually sand.
The true foundation is strength training. Some people call it monotonous. Some call it boring. But the "boring" stuff—done with high volume, perfect technique, and consistent progression—is what actually builds your body's armour.
Think about it: when you first learned pickleball, you didn't jump straight into a competitive game. You practiced your footwork first.
Strength training is the footwork for your life. It is the insurance policy that ensures your joints can actually handle the impact of the sports you love.
Stop playing through the pain. Let's build a foundation that lasts.
The best part? Your first session is completely on us so you can see if our private Somerset studio is the right fit. No obligations, no pushy sales.

In your 40s and suddenly your body just doesn’t feel the same? 😑 🚫
I know you’re trying to fix it by "keeping fit."
You do the daily brisk walks.
You sign up for the half-marathons.
You spend thousands on ClassPass Pilates
ALL because it feels like "hard work."
But your joints still ache. You don’t feel as strong as you did in your 30s.
And despite all your effort, your physique just isn't CHANGING.
Eventually, you feel like you’ve wasted your time, so you quit.
Here is what most women don’t realise:
Brisk walking and bodyweight classes are great for movement, but they do not stop muscle loss.
In our 15 years of training over 1,000 different women at The PIT, we’ve seen this exact cycle. You think you need to do more cardio. But what your body actually needs to stop the clock is Progressive Overload.
What if you could see your strength progress right in front of you, so you actually know it's working?
❌ No endless cardio.
❌ No complex routines to think about.
✅ Just 2 days a week. 1 hour each.
You show up, do exactly what you’re told, and follow a structured program built entirely for your unique body and your joint health.
Within 6 to 12 weeks of structured weight training, you are almost guaranteed to feel stronger, move pain-free, and see real physical progression.
Stop the "keeping fit" trap. Let's start ACTUALLY building your body.
