A Wake Up Call

A walloping defeat , a result that we cannot hide from. The scoreline was harsh, but the biggest concern was how five of the goals conceded came from individual, avoidable mistakes.

For the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters, the game was actually quite even. We had decent possession, moved the ball reasonably well and competed with the opponent. However, our own carelessness when playing the ball out from the back allowed the opponent to punish us, giving away goals that simply should not have happened.

At the other end, we had opportunities of our own but failed to take our chances. When opportunities came our way, we were unable to capitalise, and against a good opponent, those missed chances eventually came back to haunt us.

The 4th quarter was a different story. Chasing the game forced us to commit more players forward, but once the opponent hit us on the counter, the whole team seemed to fall apart. We lost our shape, discipline and composure, and the final quarter became a complete giveaway.

This was a tough lesson. We need to wake up, take responsibility for our individual mistakes, be more ruthless in front of goal and stay disciplined as a team.

Forget the scoreline, learn from the mistakes and respond in the next game.

It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.

Despite suffering a heavy defeat, we came up against a very strong Chinese Foreign side that showcased an impressive standard of football. They were technically excellent, moving the ball confidently with quick short passes, precise through balls, dangerous crosses, and accurate long switches of play that constantly stretched our defence.

Their movement, fitness, and understanding of the game allowed them to dominate possession and control the tempo throughout the match. On top of that, they were clinical in front of goal, taking their chances with excellent finishing.

We were outplayed in many aspects of the game, and the result reflected the quality of our opponents. While it was a difficult night, matches like these provide valuable lessons.

We must learn from this experience, continue improving our fitness, decision-making, and teamwork, and use this defeat as motivation to come back stronger in the next game.

A heavy defeat is never easy to accept, but facing strong opponents can expose areas for growth and help the team improve for future matches.

A Comeback Built on Belief and Character

What looked destined to be a heavy defeat turned into an unforgettable contest as we battled back to earn a dramatic draw against a young, energetic, and relentless opponent.

The opening quarter was a difficult one. We looked disjointed, with no one stepping up to take control or dictate the tempo of the game. Our opponents capitalized on our slow start, taking a commanding four goal lead through a series of well worked and wonderful finishes.

The second quarter finally gave us a lifeline. Andy rose highest to power home a superb header from an exquisite Beckham like cross delivered by our beloved Ayun man of the century, giving us renewed hope. However, the momentum was short lived as our opponents responded almost immediately with their fifth goal and what a goal it was. Refusing to fold, we fought back again before half-time when the ever charismatic Ayun man of the century found the net to reduce the deficit. There was a real sense that the game was turning our way, and we had the perfect chance to close the gap further after winning a penalty, but unfortunately, we couldn't convert.

The second half showcased the true character of the team. Belief grew stronger with every minute as we clawed our way back, reducing the score to 5-4 with Andy and Deen scoring in the third quarter. The pressure continued to build until Fendi the father of all chicken finally grabbed the deserved equaliser in the fourth quarter.

Sensing an incredible comeback, we pushed forward once more and were rewarded when Andy completed his hat-trick to put us in front for the first time in the match. It was a remarkable turnaround that reflected the team's resilience and determination.

Sadly, the game took another twist when our dependable full-back, Fithri, suffered a dislocated shoulder, forcing us to reshuffle our lineup. As fatigue began to creep in, we dropped deeper and deeper into our own half. Despite our efforts, the relentless pressure eventually led to a heartbreaking late equaliser.

In all fairness, a draw was probably the right result for both teams that gave everything until the final whistle.

A huge kudos to every single player for believing, fighting until the very end, and never giving up. This comeback was built on heart, resilience, and togetherness.

Finally, on a more serious note, we wish our Horseman, Fithri, a speedy and full recovery. Get well soon—we're all behind you.

Despite the defeat, it was a positive performance against a solid, disciplined, and well organise opponent. Our players put up a tremendous fight from the first whistle to the last, showing resilience and determination throughout the match.

Even with a depleted and thin squad, the team remained committed to our style of play. We stayed patient in possession, built from the back with composure, and resisted the temptation to force passes or rush our attacks. The discipline and belief in our football identity were evident despite the challenging circumstances.

Most importantly, this performance reflected the character of the team. Every player gave their all, supported one another, and battled until the final whistle. While the result did not go our way, there is plenty to be proud of. The commitment, spirit, and resilience shown during this difficult period are qualities we will continue to build on as we move forward together.

Yes, results matter but never at the expense of team spirit. Wins fade, but character, unity, and the way we stand together define who we truly are.

It was a fascinating encounter that ultimately ended in a draw, and perhaps the right result in the end, as both teams felt they had done enough to win.

Facing a youthful and energetic Coastal Guard side from the west, we started brightly and enjoyed the majority of possession in the first half, moving the ball with patience and neat passing combinations. However, despite controlling the game, the opponents took a surprise lead against the run of play after capitalising on one of their opportunities.

Our response was excellent. A beautifully weighted splitting pass by SUNAIDI unlocked the defence, and surprisingly it was our right-back AZNAN, showing great courage and initiative to join the attack, who produced a delightful David Beckham chipped finish to bring us level.

In the second half, we continued to maintain our patient passing style without forcing the play, even with several personnel changes. Our persistence paid off as we took a deserved lead through an almost carbon copy move to the first goal. Another incisive pass by SUNAIDI split the defence and our beloved man of the century AYUN broke through before calmly beating the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation.

The opposition gradually worked their way back into the contest, relying on their pace and dangerous counter-attacks. They created several opportunities, including a few one-on-one situations, but our goalkeeper KAMSANI was outstanding, producing a series of excellent saves to preserve our advantage.

Unfortunately, complacency slowly crept into our game as thoughts of seeing out the match began to take hold. Late on, the opponents equalised with a direct run, with no one taking responsibility to track the runner. Moments later, they turned the game around when another attack resulted in a penalty after their player was brought down in the box, while our defensive organisation was still caught sleeping.

Determined to recover from the setback, we pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but in doing so left spaces at the back. The opponents took advantage and created several frightening chances, only to be denied again by the heroics of our improving goalkeeper KAM the man.

Our equaliser eventually arrived from a free-kick by yet again our beloved man of the century AYUN, one that the opposing goalkeeper will feel he should have dealt with better. Buoyed by the goal, we launched one final push and came agonizingly close to snatching victory, only for AZNAN a defender's effort to crash against the crossbar.

In the end, it was a thrilling and entertaining draw. Both sides could count themselves unfortunate not to have won, and a share of the spoils was probably the fairest outcome after a game that swung dramatically from one side to the other.
