This one's for you, coaches.

If you've ever felt guilty about a client needing you less... read this.
The goal was never to be needed forever. It's to build someone who doesn't need you anymore, and still chooses to stay.

Coach Rahman breaks down the psychology behind lasting client results: Self-Determination Theory, the real drivers behind client goals, and how to shift from dependency to autonomy without losing your clients in the process.

Swipe through. Save it. Send it to a coach who needs it.

At SCA, we run 1-2 CPD sessions for our team every month to keep sharpening our craft.

Sam and I never believed in being self-made.

Hard work matters.
But no one builds something meaningful alone.

Every success is built on people who believe in the vision, challenge you, support you and show up beside you.

Funny enough, Sam and I never set out to build what SCA is today. We simply wanted to create a place where we’d love to work, train and help people.

Somewhere along the way, it became so much more than that.

Building Strength Clinic Academy hasn’t been a straight line. There have been mistakes, setbacks, lessons and people who’ve come and gone. Every one of them has helped shape who we are today.

Spending a short weekend together in Bintan was the highlight of my week. It reminded me that the greatest part of building SCA has never been the business.

It’s the people.

Not just what we’ve built.
But who we’ve built it with.

And we’ll always be proud of that.

5 months post-surgery. Adam walked in, and we did what we always do first.

We tested him.

Quad strength. Hamstring strength. Single leg output. Every number gave us a clear starting point, and a clear direction forward.

This isn't a solo effort. Imran has been working alongside Adam's club physio at Young Lions throughout his recovery. Two practitioners, one plan, so nothing falls through the cracks.

From there, the session took shape.

Sled pushes.
Single leg isometric hinges.
Single leg banded Pallof presses.
Single leg ball kicks.

Every exercise chosen to load the right muscles without putting stress on the knee. Progressive, not aggressive. Recovery isn't a race, it's a build.

Field work is coming.
Strength, for life.

A few years ago, our 2 year old son had a seizure while choking and lost consciousness.
Every CPR and AED course I had ever done, over 10 of them through the years as a PT, finally mattered in that moment.

I never thought I would need that skill most with my own child. But the biggest lesson was that we knew exactly what to do.

No hesitation, no panic, just calling for help immediately and doing what we were trained to do.

This is exactly why we believe this isn't just a skill for trainers or healthcare workers.

You never know when it will be your own family who needs it most.

The right team makes all the difference.

We're adding two new roles at SCA and we're looking for people who genuinely love what they do, take pride in their work, and show up for the people around them.

If that's you, we'd love to hear from you.

Training one arm makes the other arm stronger.

This isn't a theory. It's called cross-education, a well-researched phenomenon where training one limb produces strength gains in the opposite, untrained limb.

Studies show the uninjured side can retain up to 25-35% of strength in the injured limb, without it moving at all. The mechanism is neural. Your brain is still sending signals, still recruiting motor patterns, still building capacity.
This is exactly why Sam kept training through his shoulder injury. While his injured arm rested, his other arm worked. And both got stronger.
At SCA, we don't tell injured clients to stop. We find what they can do and we build from there.

Injury is not a reason to pause your progress. It's just a different starting point.

We meet you where you are. Strength for life.
