Day 3 of our Skateboard Coaching Program at Telok Kurau Primary! As many times as we've done this, it still gives me such a rush and so much joy that we're now teaching skateboarding in schools! How cool is that!?

We want to see more girls and women on skateboards — and we’re creating a space to make that happen.

On 11 September 2026, we’re hosting a FREE skateboarding session at Jurong Lake Skatepark just for women and girls. Whether you’ve been skating for years, you’re just starting out, or you’ve always wanted to give it a try, you’re welcome to come along.

This isn’t about how good you are or what tricks you can do. It’s about getting together, having fun, learning from each other, and feeling comfortable on a skateboard.

Skateboarding has always been about community, and we want to help build one where more women and girls feel like they belong. 🧡

So grab your board, bring a friend, and come skate with us!

Rolling into new experiences! 🛹💙

On 17th and 18th June 2026, United Skates was proud to partner with South Central Community Family Service Centre and YouthCreates SG to deliver skateboard coaching sessions for more than 40 vulnerable children as part of our Youth Outreach Program.

For many of the participants, it was their very first time stepping onto a skateboard. What started with a little uncertainty quickly turned into excitement, determination, and plenty of smiles. Over the course of the sessions, it was incredible to see the confidence, resilience, and encouragement they showed—not only in themselves, but towards one another.

Skateboarding is about so much more than learning tricks. It teaches perseverance, problem-solving, creativity, and the courage to get back up after every fall. Watching these young people embrace those values and discover what they're capable of was the real highlight of the program.

A huge thank you to South Central Community Family Service Centre and YouthCreates SG for sharing our vision of creating meaningful opportunities for young people through sport. Together, we're helping build confidence, strengthen communities, and remind every young person that they are capable of achieving more than they think.

And to all the participants—you absolutely smashed it. We can't wait to see where your skateboarding journey takes you! 🛹🔥

What an incredible four-session journey at Xinghua Primary School!

When we first met the students, many were understandably tentative, unsure of themselves, and stepping onto a skateboard for the very first time. Fast forward four sessions, and the transformation was remarkable.

Over the course of the program, we watched students grow in confidence, develop resilience, and become increasingly comfortable challenging themselves. What began as cautious first pushes soon became determined attempts at new skills, with many students surprising themselves by landing tricks they had never even considered trying before.

The smiles, celebrations, and encouragement shared between classmates were a reminder that skateboarding is about so much more than learning tricks. It teaches perseverance, problem-solving, courage, and the confidence to keep trying after setbacks.

A huge thank you to Xinghua Primary School for embracing the values that skateboarding promotes — creativity, resilience, community, self-expression, and learning through experience. It was a privilege to be part of the students' journey and to witness their growth both on and off the skateboard.

We can't wait to see where their skateboarding adventures take them next!

We had an amazing session with the students from Kent Ridge Secondary School as part of our School Sports Enrichment Programme, and the vibe was unreal. From first pushes to finding their balance, it was all about stepping out of comfort zones, trying something new, and having fun while doing it.

The best part? Seeing the smiles, the determination, and that moment when it clicks — when fear turns into confidence.

This is what it’s all about for us. Bringing the joy of skateboarding to more young people, creating safe spaces to learn, and building a community that supports every step (and every fall).
