Dear Members,

As part of the continued development of golf coaching and training at Sembawang Country Club, we would like to update members on the upcoming transition of our Golf Academy.

The current lease with SingaGolf will conclude on 31 Aug 2026. From 01 Sep 2026, DB Golf Center will commence operations as Sembawang Country Club’s newly appointed Golf Academy.

Further information on coaching programmes, clinics and other offerings will be shared progressively.

We thank SingaGolf for their partnership with Sembawang Country Club over the years and warmly welcome DB Golf Center as we begin the next chapter of golf coaching and development at the Club.

Spotted our Golf Course Maintenance team pouring what looks like bright blue magic into the water?

Yes, the blue is intentional — and it has a job to do. Here’s the science behind the blue 👇

☀️ Sunlight goes in. The dye keeps it out.
The aquatic dye reduces the amount of sunlight penetrating the water.

🌱 Less sunlight = less photosynthesis.
This helps manage the growth of algae and submerged aquatic plants.

💧 And there’s a cool effect — literally.
In certain conditions, reduced sunlight can help lower water temperature. In turn, this may improve oxygen levels and create better water conditions for aquatic life.

🐟 What about our aquatic friends?
The dye we use is a non-toxic, biodegradable formulation designed for use in ponds, lakes and water hazards. That striking electric blue is most noticeable during application and gradually disperses as the dye mixes through the water.

So, the next time you spot blue water on the course, you’ll know there’s more to it than meets the eye! It may be a small detail, but it’s one of many things our Course Maintenance Team does to care for and maintain the course.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of DB Golf Center as Sembawang Country Club’s new Golf Academy, commencing operations on 01 Sep 2026.

Members looking to begin or continue their coaching journey are invited to connect directly with the Academy to explore its training programmes and performance services. For enquiries and initial bookings, please contact the center's office at 90472041 or [email protected].

⛳ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

On Saturday, 15 Aug 2026, Sembawang Country Club celebrated the Grand Reopening of its newly redeveloped 18-hole golf course, marking the beginning of a new chapter on the green.

The event brought together Club President Mr Aaron Beng, Board Members, Committee Members, project partners and invited Singapore golf industry stakeholders for a round on the new course.

Celebrations continued over dinner, where Club Chairman Mr Adrian Teng reflected on the redevelopment journey and expressed his appreciation to the Golf Course Renovation Steering Committee, project partners and staff for their guidance, expertise and commitment throughout the project.

As we enter this new chapter together, may we continue to shape a Club that can be enjoyed and cherished for years to come.

⛳ 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

On the eve of National Day last Saturday, Sembawang Country Club celebrated a special milestone with its first festive golf event on the newly redeveloped course. It brought together over 120 members under the sun for a day of golf, fostering friendship, camaraderie, and a strong sense of community. Members also received goodie bags and enjoyed refreshing treats from our ice cream truck, what a perfect way to cool off from the heat🍦

We would like to congratulate all our first-place winners for their outstanding performances and well-deserved victories! 🏆

Adding to the excitement, members took on a range of fun challenges throughout the tournament, including the Circle-in-One NORQAIN Watch Challenge, as well as novelty challenges such as Nearest to the Orchid at Hole 8, Nearest to the Merlion at Hole 18, and Within the Durian at Hole 2. Winners walked away with exciting prizes, including a NORQAIN watch worth $3,450 and novelty prizes such as printed golf balls.

The celebrations continued at the Banquet Hall, where members enjoyed a wonderful dinner, good conversations and a lively game of Bingo to round off the evening. Bingo Game winners walked away with Merlion-designed ball markers 🎉 A special thank you to Lady Captain Ms Emily Lee and Convenor Mr Andrew Ho for presenting the prizes and joining us in celebrating this special occasion.

Thank you to all participating golfers for making National Day Golf 2026 a memorable celebration. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for another game of festive golf soon!

Last Saturday, 8 Aug 2026, we opened our 18-hole course for play for the first time, marking an exciting new chapter at Sembawang Country Club.

After much anticipation, it was wonderful to welcome golfers back to a rejuvenated course, with refreshed turf across the tee boxes, greens and fairways, alongside revitalised bunkers.

To all our members and visitors, thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support throughout the course renovation works. We truly appreciate you journeying through this period with us, and we’re delighted to have you back on our Commando course.
