Welcoming wonderful Guest teacher Michael Raynaud for our Associates, currently teacher for and its Junior Company.

Michael began his ballet training locally in France at the age of seven. He was then accepted into the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School, where he studied under Claude Bessy.

He finished his education at the National Conservatoire in Paris, earning qualifications in anatomy, ballet history and musicality.

Following his training, Michael joined The English National Ballet Company dancing much of the Company's repertoire.

After his performing career, he transitioned into teaching and earned his Professional Dancers' Teaching Diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Since then, Michael has taught with organisations including GSA, the Royal Academy of Dance, London Junior Ballet, Ballet Theatre UK and South East Ballet Scholars amongst others. His international teaching engagements have taken him to Brazil, Australia, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Canada, Portugal, New Zealand and Japan.

Michael is currently Graduate Ballet Teacher at Elmhurst Ballet School, where he leads daily classes and oversees pas de deux and repertoire across the Upper School. As rehearsal director for Elmhurst Ballet Company he also arranges and choreographs for annual performances and collaborates with internationally renowned choreographers, bringing his extensive professional experience to the students'
