🏐 Nordic Championship – Final Round! 🇸🇪

A huge thank you to Gävle Gfc Sweden for hosting a fantastic final round of the Nordic Championship and for putting on a great day for both our men’s and ladies teams!
Also congratulations to Hilerod on winning both the tournament and the Nordic Championship for 2026 👏

Men’s Team 💪
It was a tough but enjoyable day for the lads. We opened with a defeat to a very strong Copenhagen side before narrowly missing out on the semi-finals after going down by just a few points to a good Sandviken team on the day.

We finished the tournament on a high, however, with a comfortable victory over Aarhus GAA in the Silver Final(wooden spoon) 😅. A solid way to round off the day and plenty of positives to take forward!

Ladies’ Team 🔥
What a performance from the ladies! They faced Gävle in a best-of-three series, losing the opening game before responding emphatically in the second to level the series and set up a decider.

The final game was another brilliant contest, with the ladies narrowly missing out by just one point in the end. An admirable performance from the whole team, and fantastic to see just how much the squad has come on in leaps and bounds over the past year. 👏❤️

15 years on from their first tournaments, they continue to be ever-presents for both our men’s and ladies teams. An incredible achievement and a testament to their commitment to the club. 🫡👏

Over the weekend our Hurlers and Camogs took part in round 2 of the Nordic Championship in Copenhagen wonderfully organised by
The men joined up with Brussels and unfortunately were pipped in the shield final by a strong Berlin team. Likewise our ladies team made it all the way to the shield final and put in a valiant effort but came just short also against Berlin.
Incredible performance from the two teams, especially thinking this is only our 3rd year of competition and with 5 players making the competitive debut. One performance definitely stood out on the day as our very own picked up the MVP award for best Camog on the day! We are very proud of Olivia and all our players and bigger and better things are still to come from our club!

What a way to start the series! 🔥

Game 1 of our 3-game series against the was contested under Gaelic Football rules, and the Gaels came away with the win with a scoreline of 2-08 to 2-02. 💪

The Swans started strongly and took a 1-point lead into halftime, but after an inspiring team talk, the lads came out fighting in the second half and turned the game around to secure a 6-point victory.

A brilliant performance from everyone involved, with some outstanding football on display from both teams throughout the match. 👏

The Gaels now lead the series 1-0, but there’s a huge challenge ahead as Game 2 will be played under AFL rules. 🏉

A massive thank you to the Arsta Swans — it was a fantastic game and a great turnout from all the Gaels players and supporters.

One special mention to on winning the can of the match. A new tradition we’ve adopted from our opponents! (FYI He didn’t drink it as he can only drink Cider) 😂

Nordic Football Championship Round 1! ✅
Huge thank you to for hosting an incredible first round of the Nordic Championship 🙌 From the tournament itself to the afters, everything was absolutely top class!

Our men’s team put in a fantastic shift on the day. After two strong wins against Hillerød B and Sandviken Gaels, they faced the hosts in the semi-final. Despite a great battle, they were edged out by a very strong Hillerød side who went on to take the title 🏆

On the women’s side, joining forces with Malmö GAA to form Team Sweden, the squad showed serious quality and determination all day. They powered their way to the final and put up a brilliant fight, but came up against a top team who proved too strong on this occasion. An amazing effort to reach the final 👏

Super proud of both teams and the effort, spirit, and performances across the board 💪 Excited for what’s to come as we build into the rest of the 2026 season!

What an incredible 4 weeks it’s been! 🙌🏽🏐

Our Introduction to Gaelic Football sessions have come to an end, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout. It’s been brilliant to see so many new faces — men and women — coming down, getting involved, and giving the sport a go. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did and that you’ll stick with us for our regular Tuesday trainings! 💪🏽

We wrapped things up in style with a well-earned Prosecco celebration 🥂 — the perfect way to finish off a great block of sessions.
