After a few wonderful days in Port Vila, Vanuatu, we’re ready to cast off once again. The diesel tanks are full, the lockers are packed with fresh provisions, and Celeste is prepared for the next adventure – a little over 1,000 nautical miles across the Coral Sea to Mackay, Australia. ⛵🇦🇺
Before leaving, the World ARC Rally held the prize-giving ceremony for the 450-nautical-mile leg from Fiji to Vanuatu. We were thrilled to be the first boat across the finish line, although the corrected times meant we didn’t finish as high overall as we’d hoped.
One result we’re especially proud of was winning the ETA competition. The challenge was to predict your own arrival time, and we crossed the finish line just 1 minute and 50 seconds from our predicted ETA. Not bad after 450 nautical miles!
We’ve also said goodbye to some great crew members and welcomed four new sailors on board. New faces, fresh energy, and another unforgettable passage ahead.
Australia – here we come! 🇦🇺🌊

We’ve now arrived safely alongside the dock in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
Port Vila is one of those places where we say goodbye to part of our crew. It never gets any easier – every farewell is a little emotional after sharing so many unforgettable moments at sea. But that’s also part of this adventure. In just a few days, we’ll be welcoming a new crew on board, ready to create new memories together.
For now, we’re enjoying a few days in port and looking forward to seeing the rest of the World ARC fleet arrive one by one. It will be great to catch up with everyone again before the adventure continues. ⛵🌴

🇻🇺 Vanuatu – what an incredible welcome!
We have now cleared into Vanuatu and dropped anchor in beautiful Port Resolution on the island of Tanna.
Over the past few days we’ve already experienced two unforgettable highlights. We visited a traditional village, where we got a glimpse of everyday life and the strong cultural traditions that are still very much alive on Tanna. Many people continue to live close to the land, with customs and ways of life that have been passed down through generations. It was a privilege to be welcomed and to learn a little about their unique culture.
The other highlight was visiting Mount Yasur – one of the world’s most accessible active volcanoes. Standing right on the rim of the crater, watching glowing lava being thrown high into the air while feeling the ground rumble beneath our feet, was simply breathtaking. Photos and videos can’t truly capture the power and energy of this place. Mount Yasur has been erupting almost continuously for centuries, making it one of the most active and fascinating volcanoes on Earth.
It’s hard to imagine a better introduction to Vanuatu. From peaceful anchorages and friendly smiles to one of nature’s most spectacular displays – Tanna has already left a lasting impression on us.
We are Looking forward to explore the Islands of Vanuatu further. We’ll keep you posted!

Monday morning! Life is pretty good out here in the Pacific 👍 How’s life treating you?
The yellow kite is finally up! The hoist went nice and smooth, and everyone’s smiling on board.
And to top it all off, we made scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. Doesn’t get much better than that. 😊

We’ve now left Fiji behind and are officially leading the fleet on our way to Port Resolution, Tanna, in Vanuatu. The passage is expected to take about two and a half days, and we’re happy to have Paul from WARC joining us for this leg.
Conditions have been great so far, with 5–10 m/s of wind giving us fast sailing on a broad reach. Everything is going well on board, and with just 100 nautical miles to the finish, we’re looking forward to seeing the volcanic islands of Vanuatu come into view later this afternoon.
At the moment, we’re about 25 nautical miles ahead of the second boat, but there’s still plenty of racing left. If the forecast holds true, we’re planning to hoist the yellow kite around lunchtime and keep pushing all the way to the finish.
Vinaka! ⛵🌴

We’ve been a bit quiet lately because we’ve had our hands full with maintenance and repairs on Celeste! 🔧⛵
Now we’re in the final stages of preparing for our next passage to Vanuatu – a journey of around 450 nautical miles. We’ve also had time to explore beautiful Musket Cove and enjoy some wonderful entertainment from the local community. 🌴🎶
Today has been all about clearing out and stocking up with supplies for the voyage ahead. Everything is almost ready, and tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. local time we’ll cast off and begin our next adventure.
Here’s hoping for fair winds and a smooth crossing! Vanuatu here we come!🌊⚓

We have two new crew members, Brent and Christina, and we’re all set for the next leg of our adventure to Vanuatu.
We’re currently sailing around the beautiful Yasawa Islands. Our very own Alexander is still keeping us well supplied with fresh fish for lunch and dinner — today he caught three big ones! 🐟
