Following the first introduction to the Hookin4Health program, Esmie guided participants through our core pillars—Live Well, Learn Well, and Lead Well—during the morning sessions.

Through interactive discussions and activities, participants explored the importance of making healthy choices, valuing education, developing leadership skills, and supporting one another within their community.

In the afternoon, the program came to life on the field as Esmie introduced participants to the exciting game of hockey.

For many, it was their first experience with the sport, providing a fun and active environment to learn new skills, build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and discover the power of sport in bringing people together.

Hookin4Health Reaching New Communities in Malaita Province! 🏑💙

While serving as part of the Solomon for Christ two-week outreach at Talakali Community through the Seventh-day Adventist Church, our Development Officer, Esmie Belo, is also taking the opportunity to introduce the Hookin4Health Solomon Islands program to the local community.

During the mornings, Esmie is leading engaging sessions focused on our three key objectives: Live Well, Learn Well, and Lead Well. These sessions encourage healthy lifestyles, lifelong learning, positive leadership, teamwork, and respect—empowering young people to make positive choices in their everyday lives.

In the afternoons, the learning continues on the field as participants enjoy fun and active hockey sessions, developing new skills, building confidence, and experiencing the joy of sport.

We are proud to see Hookin4Health extending its reach to communities across the Solomon Islands, creating opportunities for young people to grow through education, leadership, and sport. Together, we are building healthier, stronger, and more connected communities—one session at a time.

🇸🇧 Happy 48th Independence Day, Solomon Islands! 🇸🇧

Today, the Hookin4Health team proudly came together at the National Hockey Centre, KG, to celebrate the 48th Independence Day of Solomon Islands.

Our celebration was simple but meaningful. Through a friendly hockey competition, we shared laughter, strengthened friendships, and enjoyed spending time together as one team. It was a wonderful reminder that sport brings people together, builds unity, and creates lasting memories.

As we celebrate this special milestone, we honour our nation's journey, our rich culture, and the strength of our people. We are proud to be Solomon Islanders and proud to use sport to inspire healthier, stronger, and more united communities.

Happy 48th Independence Day, Solomon Islands! 🇸🇧❤️💙💚

🏑 Olympic Day Celebration – "You Can Do It, Let's Move!" 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

On Friday, the Hookin4Health Solomon Islands team proudly celebrated Olympic Day under the inspiring theme "You Can Do It, Let's Move!". The day was filled with fun, energy, and participation as people of all ages came together to enjoy physical activity and embrace the spirit of sport.

This celebration was more than just about playing games—it was about encouraging everyone to get active, believe in themselves, and understand that movement is important for a healthy body and mind. Through hockey and other engaging activities, participants learned valuable lessons about teamwork, respect, inclusion, and
perseverance.

The theme reminded us that no matter your age, background, or ability, everyone can take the first step towards a healthier and more active lifestyle. Every movement counts, and every person has the potential to achieve something great when they are willing to try.

A big thank you to all participants, volunteers, and supporters who joined us in making this Olympic Day celebration a success. Together, we continue to promote health, wellbeing, and community through sport.

"You Can Do It, Let's Move!" – inspiring our communities to stay active, stay healthy, and keep moving forward. 💙💛🏑
