Fortis Arabia RSK continued their impressive run in the National Cricket Championship organized by SACF under RCA, registering a hard-fought 15-run victory over REGC in a crucial encounter.

Winning the toss, REGC elected to field first. Fortis Arabia openers Shahbaz Ahmed and Imthiyas started steadily before losing quick wickets — Imthiyas (9) and Riyas (1) — leaving the team in trouble at 26/2 in just 3 overs.

However, Shahbaz Ahmed produced a sensational counter-attacking knock, playing fearless cricket with elegant stroke play all around the park. He found excellent support from skipper Inzamam Ul Haq, and together they stitched a vital 56-run partnership for the third wicket. Unfortunately, a run-out ended Inzamam’s fine knock of 21, breaking the promising stand.

Shahbaz continued his dominant display, adding another 50-run partnership with Akshay Saini (14) for the fourth wicket. He eventually fell after a brilliant 93 off just 43 balls, an innings filled with power, timing, and composure.

Following his dismissal, wickets tumbled at regular intervals. However, late-order fireworks from Sardar Ali (23) and veteran Mujeeb (15) propelled Fortis Arabia to a competitive total of 186 all out in 19.1 overs.

In reply, REGC started positively, but Akshay Saini removed the dangerous Adeel (17 off 😎 with a stunning catch by Sardar Ali. A partnership between Sufiyan and Saim (59 runs) briefly steadied the innings.

But disciplined bowling led by Shahbaz Ahmed, well supported by Sardar, Akshay, Yasar, Mujeeb, and Shafi, along with brilliant fielding, applied constant pressure. REGC were eventually restricted to 171/4 in 20 overs, handing Fortis Arabia RSK a well-deserved 15-run victory.

Fortis Arabia RSK produced a dominant all-round performance to secure a commanding victory over Khyber Zalmi in a crucial encounter — the 3rd match of the National Cricket Championship, organized by RCA under SACF.

On a cold and windy afternoon, Fortis Arabia RSK’s new captain Inzamam-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bowl first — a decision that paid rich dividends.

The opening bowling pair of Sardar Ali and Akshay set the tone early with a lethal new-ball spell. Sardar bowled with sheer pace, while Akshay impressed from the other end with his swing and accuracy. The Khyber Zalmi batters had no answers as wickets fell at regular intervals.

The bowling effort was brilliantly backed by the fielding unit, with exceptional catches from Shafi, ezaz and sardar Ali and sharp direct-hit run-outs from Shafi, putting relentless pressure on the opposition.

After a breathtaking opening spell, Yasir Ali, Shahbaz, and debutant Mujeeb continued the onslaught, maintaining tight lines and lengths. Khyber Zalmi were eventually bowled out for a meagre 82 runs in just 10.5 overs.

In the opening match of the National Cricket Championship, organized by RCA under SACF, White Star Blue CC won the toss and elected to bat first.

White Star started aggressively. Sardar Ali and Akshay Saini opened the bowling well, with Sardar picking up an early wicket. However, captain Hafis Talha and Ejaz counter-attacked brilliantly, smashing the ball to all parts of the ground. The duo added a massive 172-run partnership in just 78 balls. Talha played a marathon knock of 142 runs, while Ejaz contributed a quick 55.

Just when White Star looked set for a huge total at 196/1 in 15 overs, Shafi Moidu broke the dangerous partnership by removing Ejaz. The momentum shifted further when Akshay Saini produced a crucial double-wicket over, including the prized scalp of the well-set Talha. Excellent death bowling from Sardar, Yasir, Akshay, and Inzamam conceded only 30 runs in the final 5 overs, restricting White Star Blue CC to 230/7 in 20 overs.

Fortis Arabia’s Chase

Chasing a daunting target of 230, Riyas Chukkan and Yasir Ali gave Fortis Arabia a steady start before Yasir departed for 11. Inzamam (26) and Riyas (25) tried to stabilize the innings, but quick wickets left Fortis at 67/3 in 5.3 overs, keeping the chase on a tight rope.

Debutant Akshay Saini, alongside Shafi Moidu, then turned the game on its head. The pair added a crucial 73-run partnership for the 4th wicket, rotating the strike smartly and finding boundaries at key moments. Shafi played a valuable knock of 41 off 24 balls before getting out.

From there, it was the Akshay Saini show. He took complete control of the chase, playing a scintillating innings filled with clean hitting all around the park.
