What a memorable night for Kashmir Stags as we defeated United XI by 2 wickets to lift the championship trophy!

Batting first, United XI posted a massive total of 220 runs, setting us a daunting target in the final. Our chase didn’t begin as planned, with Wakeel departing early after scoring 9 runs. However, Furqan and Huzaif steadied the innings with a crucial partnership that kept our hopes alive. Furqan played a brilliant knock of 44 runs off just 20 balls, while Huzaif contributed a valuable 30 runs from 18 deliveries.

The momentum shifted when our captain, Nahid, walked to the crease. Leading from the front, he played a breathtaking innings of 65 runs off only 25 balls, taking the attack to the opposition bowlers and keeping us in the hunt.

Then came the defining moment of the final.

With 32 runs needed from the last 12 balls, our most destructive batter, Nasir Ramza, took charge. In an unbelievable display of power hitting, he smashed 4 sixes in a single over and turned the game completely in our favor. To make it even more special, he finished the match in style with a massive six in the final over, sealing a famous victory for Kashmir Stags.

One of the most beautiful moments of the night came after the match. Furqan was awarded the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings, but in a true display of sportsmanship and team spirit, he dedicated the award to Nasir Ramza. Furqan openly said that Nasir deserved the Man of the Match for his match-winning heroics under pressure. That gesture showed the brotherhood, humility, and unity that define Kashmir Stags.

But this trophy is more than just a championship win.

It represents a 12-year journey filled with dedication, sacrifice, friendship, and countless memories. Many players who were part of this journey are no longer in Jeddah, but their contributions laid the foundation for this success.
