One odd thing: There is a “CAC Mixed Team” now in the race to represent the 54 African nations of the Confederation of African Cycling - CAC. It only has four riders, and two are 31 and 34 years old…

Feels a bit disorganised and also a real missed opportunity for one more rider at least; some better choices from all the young talent out there across the continent, especially with all those young riders who went through the UCI Africa 2025 programme…
