Well, I finally managed to surprise you.
And today, I’d like to share a quick and useful exercise for your single Axel using handstands—why is it necessary?

▫️Correct jump tempo—this exercise helps you jump the Axel without shifting on your left foot or interrupting the backswing.
▫️Torse control—when transitioning to your left foot, it’s important to hold your right shoulder blade back for a split second.
▫️No falling out of the circle—if you move your right shoulder forward, your torso will fall out of the circle.
▫️Floor practice—a simple sequence accessible to any level.
▫️Handstands → Axel—do 3-4 handstands, then add a single or double Axel.

This exercise is suitable for all skaters: from junior level to masters of sport working on their triple axel.

Have a nice day, hugs everyone.🫂

🤝 Friends, today I want to share an exercise that really helps you feel the correct axis of the axel. But it only works if you’re confident in doing the Bauer.

🟦Why this exercise
It teaches you to keep your pelvis over your left leg so that during the axel, it doesn’t fall inside the circle and your torso doesn’t drift outward.

Key points
▫️Foot position: the left leg goes outside the red line, the right leg goes behind.
▫️Torso: keep your shoulder blades on the circle, push your pelvis forward, eliminating the habit of «butt back.»
▫️Physics: The Bauer requires strength and pelvic opening; it’s not an easy element.

🟦How to perform
1. Master the Bauer.
2. Enter the red line and hold the desired position.
3. From there, try jumping a double axel across the line.

My friends!

The axel is back on top of your searches—I’m sharing another useful exercise. 🪎

Today, a three-legged jump landing on the left foot.
In the air, lightly clap your left foot against your right.

▫️We don’t go into the axel with our torso straight over our left foot, and this exercise is great for finding the right angle.

Do the sequence 2-3 times, get a feel for your torso position, and then add your single or double—depending on your level. 😎

So, shall we continue the axel theme?

One of my favorite off-ice Axel exercises is working on a small drop, about 10 centimeters. This difference is great for getting a feel for how your torso should rotate. 👇🏽

The main goal is to avoid landing face-first. We even twist the walkover: we don’t face the jump, but stand on our left side, slightly turned out. Before transitioning to the left foot, we add a slight twisting motion over the right—this generates the rotation.

Afterward, we go into a slight twist. At this height, you can practically complete the entire Axel before landing. One, two—and if the drop is small, you can even jump the Axel.

This exercise perfectly demonstrates how your torso rotates you in a jump, rather than just sending you straight ahead. We’re not jumping long—we’re learning to create torque.

I hope my exercises help you understand the technique. Have a nice day, friends. Hugs to everyone. Bye everyone.🫂

Friends, another great exercise for your Axel!
Stand at the rail with your right shoulder blade almost touching it.
Shift to your left foot and rotate your hips, lifting your right leg along the rail with the back of your foot, not the toe forward.

Watch your distance: don’t hit your knee on the rail.
Pull your body back slightly—don’t stand directly over your left leg.

Do the swing 3-4 times → push off from the rail → add the Axel.

A great exercise to understand that the swing is done sideways, not with the toe forward.
Hugs to everyone. Have a great day. Bye!

Another exercise for our axel.
We’re working on that sensation of «twisting» ourselves into the jump.

Stand in place, roll onto your left foot, and rotate about a turn or two on the toe of your left foot. This isn’t a twizzle—your goal is to actively transition to the toe to feel how exactly you twist your hips and shoulders during the axel.

And with that, my friends, I’ll give you all a big hug. Have a great day. Bye everyone!
