Kendo at Târgu Mureș since 1997. Kashi Kendo Club was founded in 2010. Since that time there is constant activity. Soon the Kashi club was founded (2010).
The beginning of kendo in Târgu Mureș dates back in 1997, when the Györfi brothers, students at the University of Medicine, and members of the Bushi Tokukai club from Miercurea Ciuc, held the first keiko. Sántha Solt (Kashi) and Jakab Anikó (Bushi Shindo) spent two weeks in Japan, doing keiko every day, most days two, or even three times, at the Tsukuba University, Meikei Highschool and Yatabehigashi Highschool. Great time and experience - we are deeply grateful for this highly special opportunity to Sakai Toshinobu sensei and Shibata Sunao sensei!
