Somatic tools for overwhelm, anxiety & stress
I looked this up because I genuinely thought something wrong was happening with me.
Apparently, when we spend a lot of time on social media, our brain gets used to constant novelty. Another video, another opinion, another little hit of dopamine.
I miss the version of me that could spend hours lost in a book.
Now I read five pages and somehow I’m checking Instagram.
I still love reading.
But I think I’ve spent so much time scrolling that my attention expects something new every few seconds.
A book doesn’t work like that.
And honestly… that makes me a little sad.
Please tell me I’m not the only one.
Healing rarely feels the way people think it will.
A lot of progress is so uncomfortable that it gets mistaken for failure.
Do you recognize yourself in any of these?
You don’t have to believe in the inner child.
Just explain why a grown adult
keeps trying to earn love from people who never fully choose them,
stays in a relationship that feels like rejection on repeat,
shrinks themselves to be easier to love,
picks the one person in the room who will never choose them back,
struggling to end relationships, even painful ones
stay loyal to people that keeps leaving,
or act like they don’t need anyone while feeling desperately alone.
We all have old pattens that learned how to survive.
Pretending they’re not there doesn’t stop them running the show.
Calling it nonsense is just another way to stay guarded
I’ve tried many types of breathwork over the years. Have you? Which one has helped you the most?

I used to think I was just bad at relationships.
I wasn’t bad at them. I was unsafe in them, and nobody taught me the difference.
It took me years and a lot of training to see that clearly.
Can you relate to any of this? 🙋‍♀️
