𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸

You can have a beautiful day at the beach, eat a great lunch and watch the sunset.
Lovely.
But somehow, the stories people remember years later are usually the slightly chaotic ones.
The hill that looked steeper from inside the buggy. The puddle nobody expected. The moment your partner suddenly became very confident about being a rally driver. 😂

That is one of the things I love about these tours.
People arrive as couples, families or groups of friends, and a few hours later they already have those little inside jokes that will probably be repeated at dinner that evening.

That’s what makes an experience memorable.
Not because everything was perfect.
Because it was fun.

The school holidays are over and suddenly the Algarve changes completely.
You notice it everywhere. The beaches feel calmer, the roads are quieter and restaurants stop looking like you need to make a reservation six weeks in advance.

For families with very young children who aren’t in school yet, September is honestly a brilliant time to be here.
It is still warm, there is plenty of sunshine, but the intense summer heat starts to ease off. That also makes doing something active much more enjoyable.

So yes, enjoy the beach. Build the sandcastles. Order the ice cream.
But somewhere in between, add a little adventure to the holiday too.

People often think the Algarve is all about July and August.

But ask enough people who live here and you’ll hear the same thing again and again:
September is special.

It’s still warm. The sun is still there. The sea is still inviting.
But the rush starts to disappear.
The light changes in the afternoon, the roads get quieter and the countryside around Silves starts to feel more peaceful again.

For us, it also means the afternoon tours become much more comfortable because the extreme summer heat is slowly backing off.

𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿… 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵😂

During peak summer, arranging a nice lunch for a group after a tour can sometimes feel like a military operation.
Restaurants are full, tables are limited and suddenly you’re negotiating over 12 chairs like your life depends on it.

September is different.
Things calm down, restaurants have more space again and that makes it much easier to turn a buggy tour into a full day out.

We do the adventure first, explore the countryside around Silves and build up an appetite. Then afterwards you sit down somewhere, order something good and start replaying everything that happened on the tour.

That’s one of my favourite combinations for groups.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗜 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁… 😂

One of the nicest compliments I received this summer wasn’t actually about the buggies.
It was people telling me: “𝙒𝙚 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝.”
And I really like that.

Of course, you book a buggy tour because you want to drive and have fun. But for me, it would be a shame to take people through this area without telling them anything about it.

So somewhere between the dusty tracks and the viewpoints, I’ll probably tell you something about Silves, local life, the countryside, a bit of history and probably a story that isn’t in any tourist guide.

There will also be a few bad jokes involved. That part is unavoidable. 😂
For me, the best tours are the ones where people leave with more than a few photos.
They leave with stories.
And maybe a slightly dusty T-shirt.

August in the Algarve is hot, loud, busy and a little bit chaotic. And I love it for what it is.

But then September arrives.
Suddenly the roads get quieter, the temperatures become friendlier and the whole area seems to breathe again. Personally, this is one of my favourite months.

If you only know the Algarve from July and August, September shows you another side of it. A slower, softer and somehow more local version.

Real teamwork isn’t built in a meeting room.
It’s built when someone chooses the wrong line, everyone starts laughing and the whole group reaches the next viewpoint together. 😄

A buggy tour is a brilliant activity for company outings, small teams, wedding groups, birthday celebrations and groups of friends.
It gets people outdoors, creates instant conversation and gives everyone something to enjoy together.

No PowerPoint.
No trust falls.
No one saying, “Let’s circle back to that.”

Just fresh air, beautiful Algarve scenery and shared adventure.

I’ve done a lot of buggy tours.
You’d think that after a while, it might start feeling like “just another day.”

It doesn’t.
Every group is different.
One family starts quietly and finishes laughing nonstop.
One couple arrives slightly nervous and leaves planning their next tour.
One group of friends turns everything into a competition within five minutes.
And every time we reach a beautiful spot, I still enjoy seeing the Algarve through our guests’ eyes.
