Carlos with another 700 pounder bluefin tuna yesterday! It has been crazy with the bluefin!!!!
As on the previous days, yesterday we spotted the birds and marked plenty of bluefins but could not make one bite. Left the area and went to the bank looking for marlin. Things were looking pretty good out there with gorgeous warm blue water, plenty of bait and birds but we did not raise any marlin. On the way back to the harbour, we spotted the birds again and got tight right away in this very stubborn giant bluefin!
Today, despite the tuna activity in the morning, we totally focused on marlin. We were the only boat fishing on the bank and the bait moved since yesterday. After finding it, we pounded the area and finally hooked up on a 600+ blue marlin on our marlin magnet B***e Lures Submission, but unfortunately pulled the hook! Damn!
Let’s go again tomorrow 💪

700 pounds bluefin tuna for Louis yesterday! This giant has a second dorsal so big that competes with the beautiful yellowfins. Crazy!
Fish caught on the one and only WolfPack Tackle Ahi Head Pro! 🔥
Today we caught another giant bluefin for Carlos but we will do the report tomorrow as we arrived pretty late due to a late bite!

Another day at paradise. Saw 4 blue marlin going 1-2 on them (600 pounds) plus 1-1 on bluefin tuna (700 pounds).
Third day in a row catching blue marlin and bluefin on the same day and area. So cool!
Started the day finding the birds and hooking up a giant bluefin tuna. Louis jumped on the chair and caught his first ever bluefin breaking his previous fishing weight record by almost 10 fold! 🤪 The activity slowed down and we went looking for blue marlin. Had one on the teaser but no bite and soon after we hooked up and released a 600 for Stephane. His first blue marlin ever!
Lines back in and we hooked up again on a 300 pounder blue marlin for Carlos but pulled the hook on the jumps. On the way in we had another blue marlin that knocked down the shotgun but vanished.
Nice day out again! Fingers crossed it will stay like that for a “little longer”! 🤞

Another great day for the Finish team going 1-1 on blue marlin (500 pounds) and 1-1 on bluefin tuna (650 pounds).
Not many places in the world you have the chance of catching these two fish (cold vs. warm water species) on the same area/spot on the same day!
We started by spotting the birds and after some attempts Jukka Stam jumped on the chair to catch his first ever bluefin. Hooked up the fish on our brand new Tiagra 130 and it felt pretty good to fight these powerful giants with a big reel! The conditions were getting rough out there and we decided to come closer to the shore. The water was gorgeous and in the middle of lots of bait we hooked up and released the first ever bluefin marlin for Petteri Kilpi! Welcome to the bluefin and blue marlin club guys. Pretty neat day out there!
More videos and pictures will downloaded and posted on the next days.
As always, blue marlin caught on our dear B***e Lures Submission! 🔥
More reports of marlins being hooked and raised by the fleet. Great news! Hope they stay around 🤞

Another 800+ pounds (110+ inches) bluefin tuna for Fred today! What a beast!
Started the day raising a 600 pounds blue marlin that checked our short left but showed no interest in biting. Later on we found the birds and in the middle of the spotted dolphins we hooked up this giant 111 inches bluefin tuna. Another great and long fight on the Tiagra 80W for lucky Fred that caught his first ever bluefin this time. Then it was time to head home!
As always, fish hooked on the WolfPack Tackle Ahi Head Pro. This lure was been a serious fish magnet here, incredible!

Cool day with our dear friend Chris going 1-1 on blue marlin (250 pounds) and raised another one that never committed to give us a good bite.
Started the day spotting a bunch of tunas but couldn’t get a single bite! Incredible the amount of tuna around but they are not coming up at all. If they ever come up, they stay like 20 seconds on top before going down again…
Anyway, we moved out where the fleet caught some blue marlin yesterday and hooked this 250 pounder right away. First ever blue marlin for Chris! Welcome to the club! Later on, we raised another small blue that came to the teaser, knocked the short left, checked the short right and faded off. Feels like they were all lazy fish today as the other boats also missed a bunch of fish!
Thanks for the great day on the water Chris Cothran! Let’s do it again next year!!!
