Portugal Netball Festival

Last November, teams came together in Lisbon for the first Portugal Netball Festival. There were competitive matches, plenty of personality on court and the kind of relaxed team atmosphere that continued long after each final whistle.
On 7 and 8 November 2026, we do it all again. The second edition is already taking shape, and registrations are open for clubs ready to be part of the next chapter.

The game does not necessarily become easier with experience.
What changes is the way players interpret situations, manage emotions and understand the flow of a match.
That perspective can be just as valuable as physical ability.

Every team has certain dates in the season that become reference points. The fixtures everyone talks about, the events players look forward to and the experiences that bring a squad together outside its usual routine.
The Portugal Netball Festival is designed to be one of those weekends. Taking place in Lisbon on 7–8 November 2026, it brings together youth and adult teams for two days of international competition and shared experiences.

Tournament memories are not created exclusively during games.
They are often built while sharing meals, discussing tactics, laughing about something that happened earlier or simply spending time together away from the court.

Winning feels good. Everyone knows that.
But some of the most important lessons come from matches that force teams to adapt, rethink and respond to situations they did not expect.
Growth is rarely comfortable.

Today, Portugal celebrates its national day.

For us, it is a chance to reflect on what makes this country such a special place to welcome teams from around the world. From its coastline and historic cities to its culture, hospitality and passion for sport, Portugal continues to bring people together through shared experiences.

We look forward to welcoming more players, coaches and clubs to Lisbon this November and giving them the opportunity to discover a little of what makes Portugal unique, both on and off the court.

One of the most difficult skills in netball is not making a decision. It is trusting the decision once you have made it.
The longer players spend thinking about a pass, a movement or a defensive adjustment, the harder the game can become. Confidence often grows when instinct and preparation start working together.
