We are beings of relationship by nature, so it's no surprise that many of us struggle with the increasing isolation of modern life. Living in this disconnect can become one of the underlying sources of the tension and pain we carry.
Thai Yoga Massage offers a beautiful antidote. Rooted in loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity, it is a practice of deep connection between two people - a meditation in action, a sacred dance.
This one-day introduction offers the opportunity to experience that connection while learning a simple yet effective Thai Yoga Massage sequence. Through hands-on practice, you'll discover how touch can help release tension, restore balance, encourage grounding, and invite deep relaxation.
Whether you're completely new to Thai Yoga Massage, want to share it with friends and family, or you're a yoga teacher or bodyworker looking to deepen your hands-on skills, this workshop is a welcoming place to begin.
🗓 Saturday 25th July, 10:30–17:30
📍 Floresta Encantada, Sintra
€60 per person or €100 for two, Use coupon code TYM2PEOPLE
The workshop will be taught in English, with Portuguese translation available if needed.

Most people wait until their back hurts.
Then they rest.
Or stretch.
Or book a treatment.
Or hope it settles by itself.
Sometimes it does.
But lasting change often comes from something much less dramatic: moving consistently, paying attention, and giving your body regular opportunities to adapt.
That's what we do every Wednesday morning.
This isn't a fast-paced yoga class, and you don't need to be flexible or experienced.
Through gentle Yoga, Somatics, breath, and nervous system awareness, we explore movement that helps you reconnect with your body, reduce unnecessary tension, and gradually build strength, confidence, and ease.
Whether you've been living with persistent back pain for years, are recovering from an injury, or simply want to take better care of your back before problems become bigger, you're welcome.

A few weeks ago, I made the decision to postpone ELEVATE: The Gathering until December.
If you've followed my work for a while, you'll know this wasn't an easy decision.
For much of my life, my instinct has been to push. To keep going. To believe that if I just worked a little harder, promoted a little more, or held on a little longer, things would work out.
Sometimes they did.
This time, I chose differently.
As registrations slowly came in, it became clear that the timing wasn't right. So many people told me the same thing: the last weekend of July was already filled with holidays, family commitments and summer plans.
I could have kept pushing.
Instead, I asked a different question:
What decision best reflects the values I want this community to be built on?
For me, ELEVATE has never been about forcing things to happen. It's about creating the conditions for meaningful conversations, genuine connection and thoughtful practice.
Sometimes that means recognising that the timing isn't right.
Postponing the Gathering wasn't giving up on the vision. It was making space for it to become what it's meant to be.
I'm disappointed, of course. But I'm also at peace with the decision.
Interestingly, our July theme inside ELEVATE is Ethics in Practice.
Ethics isn't only about how we work with our clients. It's also about how we lead, how we make decisions, and whether our actions reflect the values we speak about.
For me, this felt like one of those moments.
The Gathering will now take place in December, and I'm genuinely excited for what it will become.
Thank you to everyone who has supported ELEVATE so far. I can't wait to share what's next.

What does ethical practice look like today?
Most of us didn't enter this work because we wanted to become marketers or business owners.
We wanted to support people.
But somewhere along the way, we find ourselves navigating questions that rarely have straightforward answers.
How do we price our work in a way that's both sustainable and accessible?
How do we communicate what we offer without over-promising?
Where do professional boundaries begin and end?
How do we stay true to our values in a rapidly evolving wellness industry?
These are conversations I believe we need to be having more often.
So I'm delighted to be joined by Kate Smith, Kirsten Wilkinson and Mela Mariposa for a free online round table discussion exploring Ethics in Practice.
Rather than offering simple answers, we'll be sharing perspectives, experiences and thoughtful questions that invite deeper reflection.
There will also be plenty of space for audience questions and discussion.
Tuesday 14th July
18h-19h Lisbon time
Free to attend.
If you can't join us live, register anyway and we'll send you the recording afterwards.

This isn't a workshop.
When people first look at the Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner Training, they often imagine learning a new set of techniques. And you will.
But becoming a practitioner is something quite different.
Over the two weeks, you'll learn how to work with the body safely and sustainably, how to use your own body efficiently, and how to develop treatments that respond to the person in front of you rather than following a fixed routine.
The emphasis isn't on memorising sequences. It's on building confidence through practice, receiving feedback, and learning to trust what you feel through your hands.
For many people, this marks a shift from simply being interested in bodywork to beginning a professional practice rooted in presence, sensitivity, and skill.
If you've been wondering whether it's the right time to take that next step, perhaps that's the conversation worth having.

The practitioner training is about far more than learning techniques.
Over two weeks, a group of people comes together to practise, ask questions, receive feedback, and spend time immersed in the work. The learning continues beyond the treatment mat - over shared meals, conversations, walks, and moments of rest. All of it becomes part of the process.
There's something different about learning in this way. Without rushing back into everyday life, there's space for the work to settle, for confidence to grow, and for new ways of working to emerge naturally.
These are a few moments from our training in May at Casa do Limoeiro.

One of the difficulties with overextension is that it rarely arrives all at once.
It often looks like commitment. Generosity. Dedication to the work.
By the time we notice that what once felt manageable now feels heavy, we've often been carrying too much for quite a while.
This is one reason why practitioners benefit from being in relationship with other practitioners.
Not because someone else can tell us what to do, but because being witnessed by people who understand the work can help us recognise patterns we struggle to see ourselves.
Sometimes sustainability is less about finding the perfect structure, and more about having company while tending to it.
29/06/2026
Sustainability is often spoken about as though it's something we eventually achieve.
Get the systems right. Find the balance. Build the practice that supports you. Then you'll arrive.
But practices are alive. They change as our lives change, as our interests evolve, and as the people we work with ask different things of us.
What felt sustainable two years ago may not feel sustainable now. Not because something went wrong, but because the conditions have changed and we need to change with them.
Perhaps sustainability isn't a destination at all.
Perhaps it's an ongoing practice of noticing, adjusting, and responding to what is true now.

ELEVATE 2026 - Guest Facilitator
Rebecca Saltman
Reciprocity Marketplace
An interactive session exploring exchange beyond financial transactions.
Participants will be invited to name a real need within their work or life, and to offer something in return - opening possibilities for collaboration, support, shared skills, and resource exchange within the group.
The session focuses on reciprocity, mutual value, and recognising the different ways support and contribution can move through a community.
Rebecca works at the intersection of social enterprise, collaboration, and alternative models of value. Through Value Flow Innovations, she explores how systems of exchange, cooperation, and impact can be designed in more transparent and sustainable ways.
