Synopsis "Rebirds"

A dance film inspire by the poem “The conference of the birds”, from the poet Farid ud-Din Attar, that tells a story about
Humanity thought a world, or society of birds.

This abstract reinterpretation walks on a philosophical journey around this society of birds, that in a certain point of their life's, decided to have a leader, or, to discuss why they don`t have it.

Under a decay of values in every society, the urge to reflect about Humanity and their conflicts, trying to search a new meaning of life, assumes an important goal for this dance film, that speaks about freedom, love and beauty.

DANCEFULNESS é uma prática desenvolvida por Alexandra Battaglia desde 2017, dando continuidade ao percurso de investigação da Amálgama Companhia de Dança e a mais de 25 anos de experiência nas áreas do ensino da dança, das práticas energéticas e dos processos criativos. Cruzando a dança contemporânea com práticas de presença plena, o DANCEFULNESS propõe uma experiência de escuta do corpo, do movimento e da consciência. Através de uma abordagem integradora, convida cada participante a aprofundar a relação consigo próprio, explorando o potencial criativo e transformador da dança. Mais do que uma técnica, trata-se de uma prática de presença, que entende o corpo como espaço de integração entre movimento, sensibilidade, criatividade e consciência.
