Beautiful shots from last week’s s***m whale encounter🐋✨
This behaviour is called breaching: when whales launch their bodies out of the water.
Scientists believe it may be a form of communication, parasite removal or even play. Calves may also breach to build muscle which helps them increase oxygen storage for future deep dives.
A big thank you to our biologist Lisa Steiner for the pictures and the knowledge😁

And a rare moment:
"First time in over 20 years that I've seen two turtles interacting like this!" words from our biologist🤩

Inspiring the next generation of ocean protectors🩵
A special day with the children from São Caetano. A small gesture, but a memory we hope stays with them for a long time.

A look back at this week at sea🌊
Striped dolphins, s***m whales and fin whales along the way.
A few challenging weather days, but the ocean always rewards patience🧘
