Esta coruja-das-torre chegou ao RIAS após ser atropelada. Recuperada e em perfeitas condições físicas, pôde ser devolvida à natureza para retomar o seu voo e regressar ao lugar onde pertence.
Há espécies que fazem da natureza a sua casa. E há outras que nos lembram como é silenciosa a vida que nos rodeia.
As delicadas asas da coruja-das-torres permitem-lhe voar quase sem produzir qualquer som, tornando-a uma presença discreta.
Por aqui, poderá cruzar-se com ela entre a vegetação e os caminhos do resort.
Mas muito provavelmente não a irá ouvir chegar.

This Barn Owl arrived at RIAS after being hit by a car. Fully recovered and in perfect physical condition, it was able to return to the wild, resuming its flight and going back to where it belongs.
Some species make nature their home. Others remind us just how much life surrounds us, often in complete silence.
The Barn Owl’s delicate wings allow it to fly almost entirely silently, making it a discreet presence.
Here, you may catch a glimpse of one among the resort’s vegetation and pathways. But, most likely, you won’t hear it coming.
