Porsche is introducing the new 911 Challenge, bringing a new variant of the latest 992.2 generation of the 911 to customer racing.

The new model will be available for participation in both the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe and Porsche Sprint Challenge Benelux. Its first appearance in competition will take place in the PSCSE, where the 911 Challenge will make its world racing debut.

Welcome to a new chapter for the Porsche Sprint Challenge.

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe is divided into two distinct Divisions, each designed around a different type of driver and racing objective 💡

➡️ The Sport Division is created for professional and experienced racing drivers looking to maximise their winter seat time. With a full racing programme, the Sport Division offers the perfect opportunity to sharpen racecraft, maintain momentum and prepare for the upcoming summer season.

➡️ The Club Division is designed for a mix of gentleman drivers and young talents taking their first steps in competitive car racing. It provides an accessible yet competitive environment to gain experience, develop skills and enjoy racing in a Porsche on the best circuits of the Iberian peninsula.

And there is plenty of action throughout the weekend, with dedicated sessions for both Divisions alternating throughout the day. This creates a continuous flow of racing, ensuring plenty of track time for the drivers while spectators at the circuit and watching the livestream can enjoy a full day of Porsche racing.

Across the past four editions of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe, we’ve welcomed full grids featuring strong drivers from all over the world, competing in both the Sport and Club Divisions.

In total, more than 170 drivers and 55 teams have taken part, using the winter championship to prepare for success in their respective summer seasons.

Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe evolves for 2027 with a refined format, the arrival of the new Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) and an even more compact winter calendar

➡️ The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe will enter the 2027 season with a renewed sporting structure, an updated class format and an even more compact four-event calendar that further strengthens its position as the leading winter championship in Porsche customer racing. The series continues to combine competitive racing with extensive testing opportunities, allowing teams and drivers to prepare under optimal conditions for the upcoming summer season.

The championship will once again visit four of Southern Europe’s most renowned circuits. The season opens at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimão from 22 to 23 January, before moving to Estoril one week later, from 29 to 30 January. The action then shifts to Spain, with Barcelona hosting the third meeting from 13 to 14 February, before the season concludes in Valencia from 19 to 20 February. The even more compact back-to-back format remains one of the championship’s greatest strengths. With fewer days between consecutive race weekends, teams benefit from increased logistical efficiency while continuing to maximise valuable track time throughout the winter months.

Registrations are now open for the 2027 edition of Europe’s Porsche winter racing series 📣

➡️ While the 2026 motorsport season is still underway, preparations are already well underway for the fifth edition of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe.

The winter racing series will once again welcome a competitive international grid across four race weekends on the iconic circuits of the Iberian Peninsula. The 2027 calendar will begin at Portimão, followed by Estoril, before heading to Barcelona and concluding at Valencia. Running throughout January and February, the championship once again provides the ideal platform for drivers and teams to prepare for the season ahead.

Let’s take a look back at Round 3 🔙

The Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe travelled to the fast and technical Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia for another thrilling weekend of racing. Following Thursday’s test sessions, the action ramped up on Friday and Saturday in front of packed grandstands, with the championship battles intensifying as the season heads towards its finale in Barcelona.

In the Sport Division, it was another dominant weekend for Milan Marczak. The RedAnt Racing driver secured his fifth and sixth consecutive pole positions before converting both into race victories, extending his winning streak and strengthening his championship lead. Wouter Boerekamps remained firmly in the title fight, while Tio Ellinas claimed second in Race 1 and Matheus Ferreira impressed with a maiden podium in Race 2 after a dramatic final-lap battle.

The Rookie Class saw Henry Wheeler enjoy a breakthrough weekend with two class victories. Jesse Polderdijk finished second in both races to maintain his lead in the Rookie standings heading into the decisive final round, while Levin Gelf completed the podium on both occasions.

In the Club Division, the fight for the championship remained just as intense. Javier Ripoll claimed his maiden Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe victory in Race 1 after converting pole position into a lights-to-flag win. Race 2, however, belonged to Joel Monegro, who capitalised on a late mistake from Ripoll to take victory and extend his advantage at the top of the standings. Oleksandr Dobik secured second place in both races with another consistent performance.

Four iconic circuits in one winter campaign 🏁

As tradition now dictates, we will once again head to four iconic Iberian circuits during the upcoming winter season: Portimão and Estoril in Portugal, alongside Valencia and Barcelona in Spain.

Each circuit has its own unique character, yet all feature highly technical sections, making them the perfect places to sharpen your skills over the winter in a competitive international drivers’ field.

On top of that, all four tracks are part of major summer championships, making the PSCSE the ideal preparation if you are aiming to compete in a series that visits one of these renowned venues.
