Mário Rayford Ferreira’s path could hardly have been more different. Before making his PSCI debut, he had never competed in a proper race 👀

Until a phone call arrived: 📲 “I was called on a Thursday and asked to race. On Friday I got my licence and went straight to the circuit knowing practically nothing. And it went well.”

PSCI 2027 is already accelerating, with P21 Motorsport confirming the acquisition of 13 new 992.2-generation Porsche 911 Cup cars, set to debut in the championship next year 🔴 With further cars under negotiation and purchase agreements covering the 2027 and 2028 seasons, the commitment highlights strong confidence in the future and growth of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica.

For José Monroy, Series Manager of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica, the confirmations already secured represent a particularly strong signal for the future of the championship: 🗣️ “We are still only in August 2026 and we already have 13 examples of the new Porsche 911 Cup confirmed for next season. The numbers say a lot about what we are building and, above all, about the confidence that teams and drivers are placing in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Ibérica.”

With no pre-season testing and after a difficult start marked by mechanical problems at Monteblanco, the young Finnish driver has turned her GT debut into one of the standout stories of the 2026 PSCI. She is second in the Ladies Cup, eighth overall and in Category 2, and is already targeting overall podiums in the second half of the season.

If Flame is one of the major new faces of the season, she has found two rivals in the Ladies Cup who have given her no time for a gentle adaptation: championship leader Francisca “Kika” Queiroz and her own teammate, Chloe Grant. The Finn makes no attempt to downplay the quality of the opposition: “The Ladies Cup has been really competitive this season and it has been fantastic to be part of it. Racing against Kika and Chloe has forced me to improve every weekend and having such strong competition raises the level for all of us.” 💪

Asked about the reason behind this success, Team Manager Rubén Martín does not point to a specific moment or to any particular driver.
