🏆 Career Achievement Award 2026 -
Prof. Shahriar Mobashery, from University of Notre Dame (USA), received the Career Achievement Award 2026 at the 7th International Caparica Conference on Antibiotic Resistance.
The award recognises his outstanding contributions to the understanding of bacterial cell-wall biology and the molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, including pioneering advances in β-lactam antibiotic research, antimicrobial drug discovery, and the development of new strategies to combat multidrug-resistant bacterial infections.

We are very pleased to highlight that Dr. Javier Fernández-Lodeiro, researcher from the Omics & Analytical Development Group of LAQV-REQUIMTE and member of the BIOSCOPE Research Group, has delivery a talk entitle “Adenosine Monophosphate as a Versatile Biomolecular Tool for Greener Synthesis of Plasmonic Nanomaterials” at the 11th IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry – Green IUPAC 2026, currently taking place in Lisbon, Portugal. In his presentation was highlighted the potential of adenosine monophosphate (AMP) as a versatile biomolecular tool for the greener and more sustainable synthesis of plasmonic nanomaterials, demonstrating how biomolecular chemistry can contribute to the rational design and preparation of advanced metallic nanostructures.
