Another school year completed, and another reason to be proud of our student-athletes. 📚⚽

Between demanding schoolwork, daily training sessions, club commitments and matches, our athletes continue to work hard toward their goals both on and off the field.

This year, every one of our student-athletes successfully passed their academic year, with 3 also reaching an important milestone - high school graduation 🎓

Because football and education aren’t competing goals, they are both part of the journey, opening different doors and creating more opportunities for the future.

🏆 TAÇA DE PORTUGAL DEBUT! 🇵🇹

A special moment for João de Sá, who yesterday made his Taça de Portugal debut with SC Beira-Mar! ⚽

After a hard-fought match that went all the way to penalties, João stepped up and converted his penalty, helping Beira-Mar secure their place in the next round of the competition. 💪

With us since 2021⚡️, it’s been great to watch João grow, develop and keep earning opportunities like this one.

A moment worth celebrating, and hopefully the first of many! 👏

SUMMERS AT PFA ☀️⚽🌍

It feels good to see a fuller house every year!

From Colombia to Finland, El Salvador to Lithuania, this summer alone we welcomed young athletes from more than 15 nationalities to PFA Portugal 🤩

Different countries, languages and cultures, all coming together in Aveiro with the same passion for football. Some stayed for a few weeks, others are here for the long run - and along the way, we also had the pleasure of welcoming their families into our home.

We’re happy to become a home away from home for more young athletes from around the world every year! 🏠🌍

Now, summer is coming to an end and it’s time to get ready for a new season ⚡

Happy Birthday, Ru Haowei! 🔥

Since joining PFA Portugal in 2019, Haowei has grown through football and education side by side ⚡

He completed Portuguese High School, studying in a completely different language, earned his UEFA C Coaching Licence with an internship at SL Benfica, and completed his first year at the University of Aveiro in Informatics and Organizational Communication.

And throughout all of this, football never stopped. ⚽ Haowei continued training every day and competing in the Portuguese youth leagues, balancing the demands of football with his academic progression.

And there’s another reason to celebrate this year: Haowei has now officially secured his place in Portuguese Higher Education, where he will continue his studies in Applied Computer Engineering 🎓

Happy Birthday, Haowei! We’re very proud of the journey so far. Keep going! VAMOS 🔥

Today we stepped onto the pitch for a friendly match, a great opportunity to put our work to the test in a real game environment after the summer break.

For some of our returning athletes, it was about getting back into the rhythm of competition. For our newest PFA Family members, it was their first taste of Portuguese football and a chance to start adapting to a new team, new teammates and a new football environment.

Good opportunity, important lessons, and plenty of work still ahead ⚡️

From Portugal to Luxembourg, another exciting chapter begins for Rui Pedro! 🇵🇹🇱🇺

Part of the PFA Family since 2016, Rui’s journey is one we’ve had the privilege of watching from the very beginning. From growing through youth football here in Aveiro to taking his first steps at senior level, it has been a journey built with patience, hard work and a lot of football in between.

Last season brought some unforgettable milestones. Rui earned his place with AC Marinhense in the Portuguese Second Division, competing at a demanding level and even getting the opportunity to face Sporting CP at the iconic Estádio José Alvalade. 🟢⚪️

Now it’s time to pack the bags again ✈️

Rui is heading to Luxembourg, where he will continue his career with FC Mondercange and take on a completely new challenge.

Another incredible milestone for Baxter! 🇦🇺⚽

From Australia to Portugal, from Portugal to Italy, and now officially a freshman representing Long Island University in the United States 🤩

After joining PFA Portugal in 2023, Baxter embraced every challenge that came his way. Through setbacks, injuries, and countless hours of hard work, he showed the resilience, discipline, and character of a true centre-back.

Last year, we celebrated his first professional contract with Vittorio Veneto in Italy at just 18 years old! Today, we’re proud to celebrate another exciting chapter as he takes his talents to the United States to compete in NCAA Division I soccer while continuing his academic journey.

Congratulations, Baxter! We’re incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next.
