Time to stop listening & take action 🎬
FITNESS MYTHS
1- Other people look good exercising but I feel hot and bothered & sweat loads🥵
🤔I'd love to join your classes, but..
2 - I just need to lose some weight first.
3 - I need to ger a bit fitter first
4 - I Feel self conscious walking into a class, I don't know anyone
5 - No pain no gain
BUSTED!!!
1 - 🥵Most people sweats, including the instructor! Many of you have seen me 10 mins into a clas
Sweating is totally normal & to be expected in an exercise class. It's the body's way of cooling down.
2 - Don't wait until you've lost weight. Use exercise as a tool to help you lose weight.
The more you exercise, the more strength, confidence & energy you'll gain
3 - Exercise will give you more energy, you'll improve your over-all fitness levels, heart health & more. Waiting to get fit will never work. Don't worry about your lack of fitness in a class.
Think about what you want and can achieve by regular attendance.
4 - Everyone was the new person once, but you're only the new person once.
Rest assured, you'll receive a warm welcome, everyone is friendly, supportive & helpful. Many friendships are formed from ex classes.
5 - A good workout is not a sign of pain & we shouldn't push our bodies to painful limits to reap the benefits of exercise.
Yes, we may experience DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after a particular workout, this is a common occurance, and could last a few days after.
But we're not professional athletes, so no need to pish to the limits of pain and discomfort.
