Shwaikeh Sport and Cultural Club is seeking to recruit a Program officer and Accountant, for a full-time job and contract of 6 months.
Project Summary:
Shwaikeh Sport and Cultural Club in Tulkarem is launching a project aiming to actively offer paid short-term employment to youth in the Area of Tulkarem City, its Refugee Camps and the surrounding villages. These hired individuals will assist Community-Based Organizations in delivering essential services to severely affected in the area.
This project is part of a grant received from the Responding to Local Priorities, which is a two-year, USAID-funded project designed to respond to community priorities in the northern West Bank, to alleviate grievances, strengthen communities' abilities to withstand shocks and stressors and provide opportunities for youth impacted by violence and conflict.
Shwaikeh Sport and Cultural Club is looking to hire a Project Officer and an Account based on the details mentioned:
1- Project Officer
Position Summary:
The Program Officer will be selected based on a thorough evaluation by the Board of Directors of the Shwaikeh Cultural and Sports Club Association. Criteria will include relevant experience in project management and the non-profit sector. The Program Officer will sign a full-time 6-month contract, will play a pivotal role in implementing grant activities, supervising teams, and networking with local community institutions.
Responsibilities:
1.Implementing activities related to the grant provided by the Shwaikeh Cultural and Sports Club Association and ensuring that they are implemented as planned.
2.Supervising the teams that will be selected, whether the “survey team” or the “pay-for-work” team, who have obtained job or training opportunities.
3.Preparing work plans and monthly reports related to grant activities, which are sent by the fieldwork team and recipients of paid job opportunities from various targeted regions.
4.Networking with local community institutions on a regular basis to serve youth and visiting field sites for the implementation phase of the grant.
5.Working within the club teams to contribute to enhancing the club’s performance to achieve continuity. Self-reliance, in addition to working to enhance financing opportunities for the club’s various programs.
6.Continuous follow-up and supervision of the implementation of the grant activities within Tulkarm Governorate and with local partners and the plans prepared to achieve the grant objectives.
7.Promoting the concept and practice of volunteer work.
8.Assist the administrative and financial departments and the Monitoring and Evaluation Department of MSI/ Tetra Tech company for the purpose of completing tasks related to grant activities.
9.Representing the club in meetings and informing them of the expected and implemented plans on a regular basis.
10.Contributing to the formulation of proposals for the club’s projects and programs within the work teams to achieve this purpose.
11.Preparing the content of the activities that are implemented and publishing them on social media.
12.Work with local organizations and partners and with grants and procurement teams to develop and achieve activities.
13.Assure that every delivery of goods or services under activities has been coordinated and shared with the local partners promptly.
Qualification:
1- University degree/background in Business, Project Management, or related fields.
2- At least 2 years of progressive work experience in providing support in projects implementation.
3-Experienced in data collection and reporting.
4-Experience in project management.
5-Strong communication and analytical skills.
6-Computer literacy; Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
7-Excellent experience in the non-profit sector, local or international NGOs.
2- Accountant:
Position Summary:
The selection of the accountant will involve a competitive process, emphasizing experience in the non-profit sector and a solid understanding of financial systems and procedures. will work under a full-time 6-month contract. The accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing payment-related documents, conducting daily financial transactions, and maintaining accurate bank reconciliations. Emphasis will be placed on efficient filing systems and adherence to health insurance correspondences.
Responsibilities:
1-Preparing and reviewing all supporting documents related to any payment according to the milestone.
2-Preparing the needed records for daily financial transactions when required.
3-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
4-Assist with the preparation of the annual budgets.
5 Maintaining the Petty Cash or any other advances payments, transportation of the projects during the workshops.
6-Filing all documents/scanned copies as needed and keeping the filing system maintained.
7-Follow up on the health insurance correspondences (reimbursements, additions, cancellation.)
8-Gathering monthly timesheets.
9-Maintain an efficient filing system and manage all records.
10-Provide general administrative and financial services as requested.
Qualification:
1-A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related field.
2-Good experience in the non-profit sector, local or international NGOs.
3-Understanding of financial systems and procedures.
4-Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office applications (e.g., word, excel, PowerPoint).
5-Knowledge about the Palestinian Tax law.
