Today we welcomed FOUR new blue belts to the next chapter of their Jiu-Jitsu journey.

Marco is jumping back on the mats TONIGHT at 7:00 PM for a special MMA training session.

Open to anyone interested in learning. No equipment necessary. If you have MMA gear, bring it!

Come take advantage of the opportunity to train with an experienced MMA coach who has coached UFC & Bellator veterans.

Marco Perazzo is a 4th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, owner and head instructor of New Jersey Martial Arts, and a coach whose athletes have competed and won at some of the highest levels of the sport.

For me personally, Marco has been much more than a coach. He has been a mentor, a friend, and one of the people who helped shape my entire journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, from white belt to black belt.

Now our PRGA family gets the opportunity to share the mats with him in Puerto Rico.

When I opened Puerto Rico Grappling Academy two years ago, I thought I was opening a business.

A place to teach Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense and share what I had learned over the years.

It became so much more.

This picture captures it perfectly. A little girl (Sofia) proud of what she accomplished, running over for a hug. Kids discovering confidence, self-awareness and the ability to defend themselves. Lessons they’ll carry for life.

Somewhere along the way, we stopped simply building an academy and started building a culture and a community.

PRGA has changed me too, as a father, husband, son, coach and mentor.

I started this thinking about what I could teach others. Two years later, I realize how much they’ve… taught me. ❤️🥋

Her first day at Puerto Rico Grappling Academy marks the start of an amazing journey.
Beyond the mat, she’s building confidence and discipline that will stay with her forever.
