A heartbreaking discovery in the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve.
A nurse shark’s severed head was reportedly found within the reserve, an area meant to provide refuge and protection for the marine life that calls these waters home.
Nurse sharks are a vital part of our reef ecosystem. They are not something to fear, harm, or treat as disposable. Seeing evidence of a shark killed and discarded in a protected marine reserve is deeply disturbing and deserves attention.
The Tres Palmas Marine Reserve belongs to all of us, and protecting it requires all of us. Please respect reserve boundaries, follow fishing regulations, never harm marine wildlife, and report suspected illegal activity to the proper authorities.
Our ocean cannot speak for itself. We have to speak and act for it.
Please share to help bring awareness and encourage greater protection and enforcement within our local marine reserve. 🌊🦈

Rincón Diving & Snorkeling is looking for a Front Desk & Guest Experience Team Member to join our in-house team.
This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, organized, bilingual, and loves working with people. You’ll help welcome guests, answer questions, manage bookings, assist with rentals and retail sales, and help keep the dive shop running smoothly.
Position details:
📍 Rincón, Puerto Rico
🕘 Approx. 20–35 hours per week
💵 Starting at $11.50/hr + performance-based commission opportunities
🌴 Weekends and some holidays required
🤿 Scuba training opportunities included
We’re looking for someone who is:
✔ Fluent in Spanish and English
✔ Friendly, reliable, and professional
✔ Organized and detail-oriented
✔ Comfortable multitasking
✔ Excited to be part of a small, ocean-loving team
Retail, hospitality, reservations, diving, or snorkeling experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
