Poland to Host CDI 4* for First Time at Biały Las on 3 - 6 September 2026 Wierzbna Biały Las, located in the south-west part of Poland, is excited to host the first ever CDI 4* competition in the country.

DANISH SELECTION FOR WOLRD CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH TWO STRONG MEDAL CANDIDATES IN 6YO CLASS

Dansk Varmblod has just completed the final selection for upcoming World Championships for Young Horses in Verden, Germany.

IMO the 6YO Class looks like the strongest one with the last year 5YO Bronze Medalist – Straight Horse Leonardo, again presented by Mette Sejbjerg Martinez who also won the 5YO class with Proud James last year.

Another strong contestant is Faustino G which finished fourth last year in Verden – the elegant stallion bred by Stutteri G - Avl af heste is again presented by Bettina Jaeger Jensen.

The highlights of 5YO class are mares: Miss Malfoy and Chantal, one of my favourites – stallion Jackson M (Jovian x Fuerstenball) was not selected, he clearly faced some submission issues 😞

The 7YO – I’m looking forward to watch the mare Nordstrands Quinoa under Alexander Helgstrand in Verden. The other one of my favourites – the stallion Fiontino, the full brother of triple World Champion – amazing mare Fiontini, ended up on the reserve list.

GERMAN SELECTION FOR WORlD CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR YOUNG HORSES

Today in Warendorf the German Equestrian Federation announced its squad for the 2026 FEI WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses, which will take place in Verden, Germany, from August 5 to 9, 2026.

And there are some surprises.

Seven year olds include participants of the previous editions of World Championships of Young Horses such as Glamdale WP NRW, the mare La Jolie SW OLD, Schatzmeister MZ OLD and Endorphin FRH – the last year Bronze Medalist in the six year old category on the reserve list.

Six year olds – with some of my personal favourites – Lodovico OLD, 2025 National Champion, presented by Beatrice Hoffrogge and V-Power presented by Isabell Werth.

Five year olds – with the Polish highlight – the stallion Esquire – 2025 Bundeschampion, presented by the one and only Eva Moller and owned by Iwiccy Dressage, interesting combinations are Global Amour presented by Alexander Yde Helgstrand and the mare Weihe’s Happiness bred by Christine Arns-Krogmann and presented by Alina Schneider.

PROUD JAMES NOT SELECTED for WBFSH World Championships in Verden!

Following the final selection trials in Ermelo, the KWPN committee announced the official Dutch combinations selected to represent the Netherlands at the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships in Verden, Germany in the first week of August 2026.

A major surprise of the selection is that reigning World Champion Proud James (ridden by Annabella Pidgley) and KWPN stallions Renzo and Pjethro (ridden by Sadie Smith) did not make the main team cut. Meanwhile, two-time World Champion Red Viper secured a spot after a standout final trial an is headed to Verden to defend the title under Dinja van Liere Dressage
