W związku z obchodami 60 rocznicy powstania International Taekwon-do Federation, mającymi się odbyć 6-8 listopada 2026 r. w Wiedniu (Austria), odwołujemy planowane w Polsce, październikowe Międzynarodowe Seminarium Techniczne z GM Hwang Ho Yong.

W tym roku wiele organizacji Taekwon-do na świecie upamiętnia tę rocznicę, nawet organizacje, które z oryginalnym, założonym przez Koreańczyków ITF-em łączy już tylko "zapożyczona" nazwa. Jaką mamy z tym sytuację w Polsce? Przedstawia poniższe małe kalendarium:

- 1966 r. powstanie International Taekwon-do Federation (Seul, Korea Południowa),
- 1980 r. przeniesienie International Taekwon-do Federation (Pyongyang, Korea Północna)
- 1991 r. powstanie Polskiego Związku Taekwon-do (Warszawa, Polska),
- 1991 r. przyjęcie Polskiego Związku Taekwon-do do International Taekwon-do Federation (Wiedeń, Austria)
- 2003 r. usunięcie Polskiego Związku Taekwon-do z International Taekwon-do Federation (Saloniki, Grecja),
- 2005 r. powstanie Ogólnopolskiej Organizacji Taekwon-do ITF (Lublin, Polska),
- 2007 r. przyjęcie Ogólnopolskiej Organizacji Taekwon-do ITF do International Taekwon-do Federation (Bled, Słowenia).

Wniosek z powyższego zestawienia: Ogólnopolska Organizacja Taekwon-do ITF jest członkiem International Taekwon-do Federation 19 lat, podczas gdy Polski Związek Taekwon-do był tylko 12.

As a special gift from ITF HQ in this 60th Anniversary year of the ITF, the Summit in Vienna, to be held on 6, 7 and 8 November 2026 in anticipation of the Founder’s birthday, is being prepared as a landmark commemorative gathering of the global Taekwon-Do community. The confirmed programme currently brings together an international technical education track, a conference focused on organisational development, a showcase demonstration, and a formal gala evening.

The ITF Summit is intended to become a unique meeting point for the worldwide Taekwon-Do family to reflect on the Founder’s legacy, strengthen international cooperation, and help shape the next stage of ITF development in both the martial and organisational dimensions of our Federation.

All members are therefore encouraged to begin their planning in good time and not to miss this unique opportunity to take part in a historic occasion in Vienna, the city of the ITF Headquarters and a place of special significance in the continuity of the Federation’s work.

Jutro przypada historyczny dzień, 60-ta rocznica założenia Międzynarodowej Federacji Taekwon-Do. Aby to uczcić, ITF z dumą ogłasza Rocznicowy Szczyt, który odbędzie się 6–8 listopada 2026 r. w siedzibie ITF (Wiedeń, Austria).
Szczyt ten będzie najważniejszym światowym spotkaniem, na którym uczczone zostanie bogate dziedzictwo Taekwon-Do. Będą temu towarzyszyły międzynarodowe seminaria techniczne, kursy instruktorskie i sędziowskie. Uczestnictwo od stopnia I Dan. Szczegółowe informacje niebawem.

Celebrating 60 Years of the International Taekwon-Do Federation
 
On this occasion, marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (I.T.F.), we pay tribute to our legendary Founder, General Choi Hong Hi.
 
The 22nd of March 1966 ushered in a new era in Taekwon-Do with the establishment of the I.T.F., which developed rapidly into a global organization. Today, it unites a vast international community of Taekwon-Do practitioners across five continents.
 
In our days, the Federation founded by General Choi Hong Hi carries forward his work in direct institutional continuity, operating from the Headquarters in Vienna which he himself established and from which he actively led the development of Taekwon-Do.
 
May his legacy continue to inspire and guide people worldwide in their efforts to build a more peaceful world through the moral principles and foundations he left behind.
 
This year holds even greater significance as we also prepare for the 60th Anniversary ITF Summit in Vienna in November 2026, to be held in conjunction with the birthday of the Founder.
