It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Col (R) Muhammad Amin Malik, former Secretary of the Pakistan Golf Federation, who passed away this morning.

Col Muhammad Amin Malik served Pakistan golf with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to the Federation and the golfing community will always be remembered with great respect.

When an Association builds and fields a competitive team, the benefits extend far beyond a single championship. Success brings recognition to the players, strengthens the Association, creates provincial pride and encourages government and institutional support for golf.

We therefore encourage all Provincial Golf Associations to participate actively in PGF championships, particularly team events, and to identify, prepare and field their strongest possible teams.

We also hope that other Provincial Governments will follow this excellent example by recognising and rewarding their medal-winning athletes. Such initiatives provide tremendous motivation to players and contribute directly to the development of sport across Pakistan.

🇵🇰 PGF DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY TO U.S. COLLEGIATE GOLF 🇺🇸⛳

Another proud milestone for Pakistan Golf.

The Pakistan Golf Federation congratulates two of its outstanding young golfers, **Muhammad Irtaza Hussain and Saad Habib Malik**, as they take an important step forward in their academic and golfing careers in the United States through **fully funded scholarship opportunities**.

This achievement is the result of a journey that began years ago.

From their junior days, PGF recognised their potential and invested in their development by providing competitive opportunities at home and sending them on **fully funded international assignments**, giving them exposure to different courses, stronger fields and international championship environments.

**Muhammad Irtaza Hussain** progressed through Pakistan's junior golf development pathway and represented Pakistan internationally, including at the **APGC Junior Championship in the Philippines** and the **Faldo Series Asia Grand Final in Vietnam**. He has now entered the U.S. collegiate golf system with **Glenville State University**.

**Saad Habib Malik** has represented Pakistan extensively, including at the **Nomura Cup, APGC Junior Championship, Faldo Series Asia Grand Final, Zhibek Zholy Cup in Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka Amateur Championship**. His consistent performances and international exposure have now opened the door to the next chapter of his career, with a scholarship opportunity at the **University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA)**.

Their progress represents exactly what a junior development pathway should achieve:

**Identify talent → Develop talent → Provide international exposure → Create opportunities → Prepare players for the world stage.**

For PGF, their scholarships are not simply individual achievements. They demonstrate how sustained investment in junior golf and international exposure can create **educational as well as sporting opportunities** for talented Pakistani players.

Pakistan Golf Federation is immensely proud to have supported their journey from junior golf in Pakistan to international competition.

We wish **Muhammad Irtaza Hussain and Saad Habib Malik** every success in this exciting new chapter.

🇵🇰 FROM PAKISTAN TO COLLEGIATE GOLF IN THE USA 🇺🇸⛳

The Pakistan Golf Federation is proud to see Syed Yashal Shah, Daniah Syed and Abiha Hanim Syed continuing their journey as student-athletes in the United States and progressing through the collegiate golf system.

Their journey reflects the importance of long-term player development and international exposure. From their junior and amateur years, the Pakistan Golf Federation identified and supported these talented golfers, providing them opportunities to represent Pakistan at international championships across Asia, Europe and beyond.

Over the years, they competed internationally at events including the Bangladesh Amateur, Malaysian Amateur, Singha Amateur, World Amateur Team Championship, Asian Amateur Championship, Asian Games and Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Championship, gaining invaluable competitive experience at an important stage of their development.

Today, seeing these young Pakistani golfers progress into the American collegiate system is a proud moment for Pakistan golf.

Syed Yashal Shah has represented the Texas Southern University Men’s Golf Team, while Daniah Syed is continuing her collegiate golf career at Texas Southern University following her successful period with Blinn College. Together with Abiha Hanim Syed, their progress demonstrates what can be achieved when young talent is given structured development, international exposure and opportunities to compete beyond national boundaries.

The Pakistan Golf Federation is proud to have been part of their development journey and wishes them continued success in their academic and golfing careers.

Players must complete the online entry form, and their respective golf club must confirm their entry on or before the closing date.

Step II – In-Person Registration:
Registration will only be considered complete when the player personally reports to the Tournament Office at Margalla Greens Golf Club and pays the prescribed registration fee. In-person registration must be completed by 20 August 2026.

PGF Sindh Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026 Concludes Successfully

04–06 August 2026

The Pakistan Golf Federation (PGF) successfully concluded the PGF Sindh Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026, held from 04 to 06 August 2026. The three-day championship brought together promising junior golfers and provided an important competitive platform for the identification and development of young golfing talent in Pakistan.

The championship was contested over 54 holes in two categories — Junior Boys Under-18 and Junior Girls Under-21.

Two Special Prizes were presented to Ibraheem Usman Ijaz and Hania Aman having 1st Participation in 54 Holes Event, while the Maximum Participation Shield was awarded to Musa Adil in recognition of maximum participation.

Closing & Prize Distribution Ceremony

The closing and prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Asad I. A. Khan, Former President Sindh Golf Association and Former Vice President Pakistan Golf Federation, as the Chief Guest.

Senior Vice President Pakistan Golf Federation, Cdre Ghazanfar Abbas, and Mr. Asad I. A. Khan appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Golf Federation in promoting junior golf and creating structured competitive opportunities for young golfers across the country.

As a gesture of appreciation and recognition, the Chief Guest also presented souvenirs on behalf of the Pakistan Golf Federation to Capt Anwar, COO, and Cdr Irfan Rasheed, acknowledging their valuable support and contribution towards the successful conduct of the championship.

The Chief Guest also acknowledged the efforts of Malik Muhammad Kamran, Tournament Director, for the successful planning, coordination and conduct of the championship. Mr. Asad I. A. Khan presented a special shield to Malik Muhammad Kamran in recognition of his efforts and contribution towards the successful organization of the championship.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of trophies and prizes to the leading performers in both categories. The Pakistan Golf Federation congratulated all winners and participants and expressed its appreciation to the officials, organizers, parents and supporters whose cooperation contributed to the success of the PGF Sindh Junior Amateur Golf Championship 2026.

PGF reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening junior golf throughout Pakistan and providing young players with regular competitive exposure and a structured pathway towards national and international excellence.
