Don't forget to tune in my Insta family

We talk so much about keeping a family together.

But rarely do we ask what it actually feels like to live inside that family.
The Qur’an speaks about marriage as a place where two people find peace in one another.

Where there is affection between them.
Where there is mercy, tenderness and compassion.
But somewhere along the way, the purpose can become completely buried beneath responsibility, reputation, children, finances, expectations and “what will people say?”

“Ghar toh chal raha hai na.”

And we mistake the functioning of a household for the health of a marriage.
A husband can provide.
A wife can manage the home.
The children can go to school.
Everyone can show up to family gatherings.

And yet the very things that make a marriage a marriage connection, affection, companionship, tenderness and emotional safety can slowly disappear.

And perhaps the hardest part is that everyone learns to live around the absence.
The couple.
The children.
The entire family system.

Marriage was never meant to be reduced to simply staying under the same roof.
The house can be standing while the relationship inside it is quietly falling apart.

If you’re living inside a marriage that looks functional from the outside but feels emotionally empty from within, you don’t have to keep pretending that “ghar toh chal raha hai” means everything is okay.

DM “HELP” if you’re ready to understand what is happening in your relationship and where to begin.

How many things have you stopped saying just to keep the peace?

The conversation you keep postponing.

The hurt you keep swallowing.

The apology you never received.

The question you’re afraid to ask because you already know the answer might change everything.

We often think silence protects a marriage.

Sometimes it only protects the appearance of one.

Because what we don’t say doesn’t simply disappear.

It settles somewhere.

And eventually you stop feeling like partners…

and start living around each other’s silence.

If there’s something you’ve been carrying quietly for too long maybe it’s time to stop carrying it alone.

DM “HELP” if you’re ready to have the conversation you’ve been avoiding.

Sometimes we look at a marriage from the outside and wonder:

“If they’re unhappy why don’t they just leave?”

But leaving isn’t always a simple decision.

There can be children to think about.
Financial dependence.
Family expectations.
Faith.
Social judgement.
Fear of starting again.
Fear of making the wrong decision.

And sometimes there is love too

That’s the part people don’t understand.

You can be deeply unhappy and still don’t know what to do.

You can know something isn’t working and still be terrified of what happens if you change it.

You can want things to be different without knowing what different should look like.

And this is why I don’t believe every relationship problem can be solved with:

“Just leave.”
or
“Just stay.”

Sometimes the first step is much quieter.

Understand what is keeping you there.
Understand what you need.
Understand what you’re afraid of.
And understand what choices are actually available to you.

You don’t have to have the entire future figured out before you ask for help.

You just need to stop carrying the confusion alone.

🤍 If you’re standing at a crossroads in your relationship and don’t know what your next step should be DM “HELP.” We can begin by making sense of where you are
