The trials in Wushu, Judo, Karate, and Taekwondo took place today at GCU Lahore's Gymnasium, bringing together talented male student-athletes.

Candidates demonstrated exceptional technical precision, combat discipline, speed, and agility across routine forms and live sparring matches under the supervision of official sports committee.

The selection committee evaluated participants using real-time trial performances and athletic achievements.

To uphold complete merit and transparency, evaluators publicly announced candidate rankings on the spot immediately following the completion of each event in the presence of parents, coaches, and spectators.

Furthermore, selectors openly declared that if any candidate felt a ranking was unjust or suspect, they could immediately challenge the decision and play a challenge match on the spot. Through this open policy, GCU ensures true meritocracy across all sports trials.

Selection trials for B.A and BSc sports quota admissions continued today in Lahore, providing outstanding male and female student-athletes an opportunity to secure university admission through athletic performance.

Today’s events focused on cycling and Rowing. At the Punjab Stadium Velodrome, cyclists were evaluated on speed, lap consistency, and tactical control.

Simultaneously, rowers gathered at the Lahore Canal Boating Club along the canal, demonstrating strong technique, rhythm, and stamina under the supervision of official sports selectors.

Selection committees are assessing candidates using live trial performances alongside with their previous performances.

To keep the merit alive the selectors openly announced the ranking on spot before parents, spectators and their coaches.

The excitement continues at GC University Lahore as the sports admission trials enter another high-octane day, featuring the fast-paced team sport of Handball (Boys & Girls).

Despite the intense rainy weather, Handball trials for Boys & Girls were successfully conducted indoors at the university gymnasium. Candidates were rigorously assessed on their throwing, passing, shooting skills, and defensive agility under the watchful eyes of the selection committee.

Additionally, please note that the trials for Hockey (Boys & Girls) have been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the original venue.

Continuing GCU’s firm commitment to fairness and merit, all trial performances were evaluated transparently on the spot.

Basketball trials for Boys & Girls dominated the arena with numerous candidates ready to secure top place. The court was alive with energy as candidates underwent tactical drills, shooting tests, dribbling and fast-paced scrimmage matches.

Gymnastics trials for Boys over at the gymnasium, male contenders executed precise floor routines and apparatus exercises, demonstrating flexibility, balance, and core strength under the supervision of expert judges and the committee members.

In keeping with Ravian traditions, all evaluations were conducted transparently on the spot. Congratulations to all athletes pushing for a spot in GCU’s historic sports legacy!

The pursuit of sporting excellence reaches a thrilling peak as the BA/BSc sports-basis admission trials showcase three diverse arenas of competition: Swimming, Table Tennis (boys & girls) and Wrestling for boys.

The swimming trials were conducted at the campus pool, where everyone tried to clock their best time in different events of the Swimming.

Over on the mats, the Wrestling trials brought high intensity, showcasing the contenders' tactical grappling, explosive power, and sheer resilience.

Simultaneously, the Table Tennis courts served up fast-paced and high-concentration where players demonstrated their best for their skills.

Maintaining the university's strict commitment to transparency, the evaluations and rankings were shared with the candidates on the spot.

Each performance today brings us closer to selecting the outstanding athletes who will wear the proud colors of the Ravians.

The momentum builds as the BA/BSc sports-basis admission trials enter their third day, with the spotlight shifting to the fast-paced action of Badminton and Volleyball.

The campus courts played host to both the boys' and girls' candidates. In the Badminton trials, aspirants demonstrated their quick reflexes and precision.

Simultaneously, the Volleyball trials test the candidates' jumping ability, teamwork, service smashes and powerful spiking skills as they compete for a coveted spot on the university teams.

As with previous days, complete merit and transparency remain the top priority, and candidates were notified of their evaluated rankings on the spot.
