Velo Club Lahore

After a hot and demanding Saturday Long Haul yesterday, the guys kept things nice and easy today.

Zersh joined Velo for her first ride with the group and her first time riding along the Canal.

The Velo guys headed towards Lawrence Garden before taking on the Model Town inner loop, with a much-needed ice cream break in Model Town along the way. A proper recovery ride today.

Saturday Long Haul!

Extremely hot and humid conditions today, with the attendance on the lower side. Still, the boys managed to put in a solid ride.

Shez took on the Beijing loop and was already completely drenched, while the rest of the pack headed towards DHA Phase 9 before making their way back.

It got pretty hot towards the end, but the boys are slowly building that endurance back.

Velo Hiking in the tradition of hiking reunion dinners planned a unique gt this time around with a signature brb walk to the infamous Niagra Falls followed by a brekki at our favorite cove Aylanto.
What a lovely Sunday morning spent with the bunch with a walk in humid conditions to the Falls and then we were fortunate as a Developer Ali Malik in the exact area had brought a client smack at that point in his truck and was kind in giving us a ride back to our cars, else we would’ve been toast going back.
We then came on our vehicles to a nice little place back on the brb banks where Sarah made us all a lovely cup of tea served with some awesome home made cookies.
Then we hit the breakfast joint for a much needed zaberdast breakfast to close Geah and Patriata hike..

The biggest foes for cyclists are supposedly the wind and the incline, but we also think humidity deserves to take the number one spot. 😅

Thankfully, it was a proper Zone 2 ride for a lovely Jalo loop. Still a very decent workout despite the humidity.

Muaz got a flat along the way, while some of the boys went on to squeeze in an Inner Model Town loop as well.

Not the best weather today, with the humidity making things pretty uncomfortable. The boys still put in some intense tempo work, with Nosherwan getting comfortable on his new bike while Muaz continues to find his form after a bit of a break.

After yesterday’s long haul, the boys decided to keep it easy with a recovery spin to Lawrence Gardens and the Model Town inner loop.

Have to say, riding slow is almost an impossible task, it somehow feels more tiring than going fast! 😂 But recovery rides have to happen. 😅

Saturday Long Haul

Badass humidity today. We were completely drenched by the time we reached Beijing, with the air feeling absolutely still and the humidity making it almost suffocating. Add the invisible headwinds towards Beijing, and it made the ride even more testing.

Great to see Iqbal Sb’s Eagle Squadron out there as well. Ahmed, who had suffered a flat earlier, was still out running completely drenched, to meet us at FPR.

The boys then took it towards DHA, where the weather turned heavily overcast. It looked like we were in for some serious rain, with strong winds building up, but thankfully it never really happened.

DHA is looking absolutely fantastic for rides right now. Overall, a proper Saturday long haul-humid, tough, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Not bad weather today, so the boys decided to keep it easy. But as always with Velo, “easy” never really stays easy. The gas pedal was down for most of the ride, with the pace steadily creeping up throughout.

Velo and Z2? Please looool.

Extreme humidity today! We were expecting some rain, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. The boys headed out for a Thokar-DHA-CBD loop, with a few intervals thrown in along the way.
Ahmed unfortunately picked up a flat and had to cut his ride short. Overall, it was a tough one with the humidity making things a lot more challenging than expected.
