Really sad about Usman Shinwari's retirement.
Prolific ODI career, faded away.
Best wishes for the future endeavors.
As people want Amir back for the upcoming ODI season but not Shinwari L. Both Left Arm Medium Pacers Played Their Last ODI Match in October 2019 against SL in Karachi.
Statistical Comparison Since Usman's Debut in 2017
Innings - Wkts - Avg - Eco - 5Ws - 4Ws
Usman Shinwari - 29yr
17 - 34 - 18.6 - 4.9 - 2 - 3
Muhammad Amir - 31yr
24 - 26 - 34 - 4.7 - 1 - 0
Both played number of matches side by side between 2017-2019.
Only Shaheen and Hassan have more Wkts than Usman since his debut for Pakistan in ODIs with the fact Usman played his last match in 2019.
Considering factors like Wkts/Innings Ratio, Five/Four wkt haul, Wicket Taking Average
Stats says Usman promised a lot in ODIs but PCT management didn't support him much after injury.
Everyone talks about Amir but no one talks about Shinwari.
Even Usman's T20i record wasn't average if you just exclude his last two matches.
Happy Birthday Usman โจ

A Big Match Player in ODIs for Pakistan?
Absolutely Yes
But for LQ in Knockouts, his Performances say something else.
10 innings, 217 Runs, SR 127, Avg 21.7
These stats are too below the stature of player like Fakhar.

LQ's batting depends on Fakhar-e-Pakistan but for knockouts, he hasn't performed up to the mark as he does in group matches. The failure percentage is greater as compared to the success.

Irfan Khan Niazi's international wickets > domestic wickets.
A unique stat in his short career.

๐ฎ๐ณ๐ Congrats to Team India on the win!
Instead of making excuses, let's acknowledge their superior cricket structure.
Time for Pakistan to step up our game and show some sportsmanship.

Abdul Samad 27yr ๐ต๐ฐ:
T20 Career: 240 runs, 18.5 average, 146 strike rate
he's in the national T20 squad.
Abdul Samad 23yr ๐ฎ๐ณ:
T20 Career: 1478 runs, 27 average, 147 strike rate
likely nowhere near the national T20 radar.
It really highlights the sheer depth and competition in the Indian cricket system. You could have a player with impressive numbers, but the bar is so incredibly high. And for PCT one or two good innings shouldn't guarantee a national team spot. Pakistan must establish firmer selection standards to avoid high-level failures.
Still I hope, Abdul Samad can grab the opportunity and do wonders for ๐ต๐ฐ in near future.
