A proud moment as we celebrated the completion of the United for Women’s Health & Wellbeing initiative supported by the Al Basma Foundation.

Over 8 months, the project brought together 100 adolescent girls across 3 community centres, combining regular football coaching with health and wellbeing education and community engagement initiatives.

Our final certificate distribution ceremony was a special moment to recognise their commitment, growth, and participation throughout the journey.

More than football, this project created spaces for girls to learn, connect, build confidence, and speak openly about their health and wellbeing.

A heartfelt thank you to our participants, coaches, families, and Al Basma Foundation for making this journey possible. Here’s to the girls continuing to play, learn, lead, and dream bigger.

Glimpses from final workshop in United for Women’s Health & Wellbeing held in June, supported by Al Basma Foundation.

The session brought aparticipants together to reflect on their eight-month journey, share feedback, celebrate their growth, and discuss what comes next.

From football coaching to conversations around menstrual health, wellbeing, and confidence, the project reminded us that sport can create spaces to learn, connect, speak up, and grow and celebrate women.

We are grateful to all the girls, coaches, facilitators, families, and Al Basma Foundation for being part of this journey.
