Muhammad Haroon General, a UCI-certified Road Elite National Commissaire, has been officially selected to officiate at the prestigious Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Tour de l’Avenir in France, taking place from August 23–29, 2025.
This remarkable achievement marks the first-ever selection of a Pakistani commissaire for a UCI-sanctioned race in Europe, placing Pakistan firmly on the global cycling map. Chosen after a highly competitive process, Mr. General is one of only six commissaires selected worldwide from Asia, Africa, South America, and Central America.
The Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) hailed this as a breakthrough for the country’s sports governance. Haroon credited Dubai Islamic Bank for their sponsorship and Syed Azhar Ali Shah, President PCF, for their consistent support. His journey since 2010 reflects dedication, excellence, and passion for cycling.
