After dropping their first two games of the season, the Taguig Hoopers were staring down a bleak 0-3 start to their campaign—until MARK PEÑARANDA decided to step onto the hardwood and write his name into league history. In a breathtaking Week 3 showcase, Peñaranda put on the most dominant individual scoring display the league has ever witnessed, exploding for a monumental 71 points to carry the Taguig Hoopers to a thrilling 102-100 comeback victory over the Eyt Eys. Accounting for nearly 70% of his team’s total points, Peñaranda claimed undisputed Best Player of the Game honors. Following the historic victory, the superstar playmaker revealed that the driving force behind his historic night was pure, unadulterated motivation born from their back-to-back losses.

Entering Week 3 with an empty column in the win standings is enough to damage any team's morale, but for Peñaranda, the 0-2 start acted as an absolute wake-up call.
"To be honest, those two consecutive losses were all I could think about all week," Peñaranda admitted in his post-game interview. "It was incredibly frustrating because we knew we were a better team than our record showed. I told myself before the opening tip-off that I would do whatever it took to keep us from falling to 0-3. That hunger to get our first 'W' was the only motivation I needed."
