Led by the stellar efforts of DJ Migriño, Joseph Lajot, and Kit Lirazan, Team Kuya controlled the game with composure, timely scoring, and solid team play when it mattered most.

Team Yozen refused to go down without a fight, rallying behind the 18-point performance of “The Answer” Joseph Namor. But every time Yozen threatened to make a comeback, Orot Almerol answered with timely shots for Team Kuya, dousing the flames of Yozen’s rally and keeping Kuya firmly in control.

TEAM VICTOR ESCAPES WITH A NARROW WIN!

Team Victor takes Game 1 of the Finals, edging MJ Bandala, 74–70, in a thrilling battle that went down to the wire!

Capitol’s Golden Boy Lui Besa fouled out with less than a minute remaining in the fourth quarter after being called for a disqualifying foul on “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Lawrence Llemit. Llemit was awarded two free throws, but could not convert either attempt, keeping the door open for Team Victor.

Old Reliable Lincoln Gequillana delivered timely perimeter shots throughout the game while also taking on the difficult defensive assignment of containing Llemit. Then came Tyler Valentos, who caught fire in the fourth quarter, scoring seven straight points through his outside shooting and a clutch three-pointer to help Team Victor seize the lead.

Inside, the ever-reliable “Man Mountain” DJ Balite provided the much-needed scoring and presence in the paint. Meanwhile, “The Worm” Borres may have struggled offensively, but his defense, rebounding, and all-around hustle proved crucial in the closing stretch.

MJ BANDALA FIGHTS BACK

Lawrence “Baby-Faced Assassin” Llemit came out blazing, connecting on a variety of long-range bombs—even with defenders in his face. One of his shots came from way downtown, just a foot shy of the half-court line!

His “Splash Bro” Jao Ruiz also made an impact by relentlessly driving, creating opportunities, and dishing the ball to teammates.

However, MJ Bandala was missing a key piece inside as David “Wembanyama” Oronan sat out under concussion protocol.

The Guindulman Slasher, Jeramil Gamal, stepped up in a big way, attacking the basket and knocking down pull-ups to help MJ Bandala build its biggest lead of the night—12 points in the second quarter.

But the production of legendary 60-year-old veteran Leo “Sweet” Suico was noticeably missing in Game 1. The veteran scorer was a non-factor on the night—perhaps saving something special for Game 2. 👀

GAME 2: NO ROOM FOR COMPLACENCY

Team Victor now holds a 1–0 lead in the Finals, but the series is far from over.

Expect Team MJ Bandala to throw everything—even the kitchen sink—into Game 2. 🔥
