‎On the morning of June 17(yesterday), our team was placed on standby as we awaited further instructions from the Incident Management Team. By 2:00 PM, we were given a SPECIAL MISSION following the urgent request of the family.
‎
‎Together with All For The Roots Team A and Team B, we prepared to proceed. Due to safety protocols only 7 per team were allowed 5 volunteers and 2 local guides. Although we were 10 volunteers willing to go, we divided into two groups, with Team A assigned to carry essential items and team B remained stand by until instructions will be given.
‎
‎Our mission was not only to search for possible leads but also to deliver relief supplies to personnel stationed at higher elevations. More importantly, we were entrusted with significant items from the family—guided by a babaylan—intended for a ritual offering in the last known location where Mr. Zamayla was seen.
‎
‎At around 3:00 PM, we began our ascent. Guided by Datu Bobby, we were instructed to reach the area and perform the ritual before dawn on June 18. This was crucial, as we were advised that the offering must be placed before sunrise.
‎
‎Despite the many challenges and risks encountered along the way, Team A pushed forward with determination to fulfill the mission within the given time.
‎We successfully reached the designated area before dawn and carried out what was asked of us.
‎
‎There are many experiences and circumstances we faced during this mission, and we will share more details soon.
‎
‎As of this moment, there are still members of our team on the ground, continuing and extending their efforts in the search and rescue operations despite the many challenges, especially with the current weather conditions. Their dedication and courage remain unwavering.
