𝗖𝗞𝗖𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗔𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗴 𝟭

Kahanga-hangang determinasyon at husay ang ipinamalas nina Brianna Ferraro, Jyann Bakilan, at Ahl Jed Bakilan, mga manlalangoy mula Christ the King College (CKC), matapos umani ng samu’t saring medalya sa Philippine Aquatics Incorporated (PAI) Regional Qualifiers Short Course Leg 1 na idinaos sa New Clark City Aquatic Center, Tarlac, noong Hulyo 4-5.

Pinangunahan ni Ferraro ang medal tally, matapos suungin ang 50-meter backstroke sa oras na 35.04 segundo at makamit ang gintong medalya.

Sa kabila ng kaniyang iniindang pananakit sa balikat, ipinakita ng bihasang manlalangoy ang taglay na katatagan na naging susi sa kaniyang tagumpay.

Sa kampanya naman ni Jyann Bakilan, kaniyang ipinamalas ang husay at bilis upang makamit ang tansong medalya sa 200-meter individual medley, matapos maitala ang oras na 3:08.

Samantala, lumahok naman si Ahl Jed Bakilan sa iba’t ibang kategorya tulad ng 100-meter freestyle, 50-meter butterfly, 50-meter backstroke, 200-meter breaststroke, at 200-meter individual medley.

Bagama’t hindi nakasungkit ng medalya, namukod-tangi pa rin ang kaniyang ipinamalas na dedikasyon at pagpupursigi sa larangan ng paglangoy.

Patuloy ang puspusang pagsasanay ng tatlong manlalangoy, matapos nilang masiguro ang kanilang puwesto tungo sa Championships 2026 Short Course Meters.

Fun Fact: The La Union Waves Swim Club is named after one of the elements that La Union is most known for - WAVES 🌊🌊🌊

Initially founded in 2018, Coach Marc still avidly surfed and simultaneously taught Learn to Swim Lessons in different parts of La Union. As he formed a swim club at the end of that summer, he thought it fitting that the swim club be named after something uniquely La Union.
