Our incoming 4th-year JPIAns officially took the first step to their OJT journey last Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Rooms 207โ208 of Fr. Alfred Spincemaille, CICM (Administrative Building).
JPIA-SLC conducted the OJT Orientation to provide our incoming interns with the necessary information they need to start their OJT journey. The event was divided into four sessions:
The Corporate Launchpad: Etiquette, Expectations, and Internship Essentials
Led by our President, Mr. Jeavs Evrick B. Rabut, and Vice President for Academics, Mr. Kenneth Steven G. Dichosa, the session established clear standards for professional grooming, business ethics, and foundational etiquette. These essentials will help incoming interns build confidence and stand out during their OJT.
Thriving on the Job: Mastering Communication, Problem-Solving, and OJT Growth
Spearheaded by Ms. Krizza Marie F. Lavarias, an SLC alumnus and the โ24โโ25 President of JPIA-SLC, this discussion delved deeper into how students will learn to communicate effectively, handle workplace challenges, and leverage everyday experience for personal and professional growth. Mastering these skills will surely help them excel in the workplace.
Industry Insights: What Employers Expect from OJT Trainees
Delivered by Mr. Deomark B. Arcega, CPA, MBA, an industry associate and also a former President of JPIA-SLC, last โ16โโ17, this segment provided the students with an exclusive overview of real-world expectations of modern employers. This session challenged students to view the OJT not merely as an academic requirement but as a genuine professional experience.
OJT Requirements (Pre and Post-OJT)
Facilitated by our Program Head, Dr. Perlita E. De Guzman, CPA, this session focused on the general guidelines for OJT. It provided a clear timeline for the OJT program, clarity on preparing the required documents, and guidelines for processing them, ensuring that our incoming interns know what they are doing and do it correctly.

The midterm exams for the Short Term '25โ'26 is officially waving!
โจ
Kaya naman, get your calculators and reviewers ready! The next two days will be a battle of grit and minds, and the best weapon you can bring is your mastery. Also, don't forget to get a good night's sleep! Mahalaga ang mag-review, but your health is equally important. Let's keep our routines balanced! Make sure na naka-check ang tulog at review, ha?
Good luck with the exams, JPIAns! May your papers be full of answers and your post-exam coffee taste like sweet victory! ๐

Stepping into the midyear requires more than just preparationโit demands a heart anchored in faith and a spirit willing to be led.
This First Sunday of July, the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) gathered in fellowship and devotion to sponsor the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. As we reach the halfway mark of the year, we pause to offer our victories, our upcoming academic hurdles, and our shared aspirations to the Almighty.
May the nourishment of the Holy Eucharist strengthen our resolve, clear our minds, and renew our passion to serve both our community and our profession with excellence and humility. As we embrace the days ahead, let us walk confidently, knowing that our steps are ordered and our efforts are blessed.
May this new month be a season of abundant blessings, where our hard work meets His grace, and every challenge becomes an opportunity to grow closer in faith and purpose.

Lord Jesus,
I come before You today with a humble and teachable heart, laying down the heavy burdens and pressures I have been carrying. Teach me to rest in Your freely given grace rather than constantly striving to earn Your acceptance. Please grant me Your peace, guidance, and strength to face life's inevitable challenges, knowing that I never have to walk alone. Amen.

To our Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA), and Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems (BSAIS) graduatesโthe wait is finally over. The final entry has been posted, and the journey of student life is officially closed.
You survived the endless cycles of complex theories, system evaluations, strategic analyses, and long nights where answers seemed just out of reach. Through every challenging exam and complex framework, you didn't just learn a disciplineโyou built an unbreakable mindset.
Your degree is more than a diploma; it is proof of your grit, your silent prayers, and the long-held dreams that kept you focused when the pressure mounted. The analytical skills of our BSA graduates, the strategic planning of our BSMA peers, and the technological skills of our BSAIS specialists are now ready to make waves in the professional world.
You leave behind a standard of excellence that will inspire the next generation of JPIAns. Go forth, break barriers, and navigate your future careers with the same brilliance you brought to our community.
