🎾 CLASS D DOUBLES TIPS

Play Smart. Communicate. Have Fun! 💙

👥 1. Stay Connected
Don’t leave a huge gap between you and your partner. Move together and cover the court as a team.

🗣️ 2. Communicate!
Call “Mine!”, “Yours!”, or “Leave!” Don’t be afraid to talk to your partner.

🎯 3. Play High-Percentage Shots
You don’t always need to hit winners. Keep the ball in play and make your opponent work.

🏃 4. Move Forward Together
When you get a good opportunity, move toward the net together. Avoid leaving your partner alone at the net.

🎾 5. Aim Between the Players
The middle can create confusion between opponents and is often a smart target in doubles.

🧠 6. Be Patient
Class D is about learning and improving. Don’t rush every point—build the rally and wait for the right opportunity.

Mistakes happen! Encourage each other, stay positive, and enjoy the match.

🎾 BEGINNER’S TIP #3

ONE-HANDED BACKHAND

Want to learn a one-handed backhand? Start with the fundamentals! 💪🎾

1. 🔄 Turn Your Shoulders
Turn your shoulders early and prepare your racket before the ball arrives.

2. 🤝 Prepare With Both Hands
Use both hands during preparation, then let your non-dominant hand help guide the racket.

3. 🎾 Get the Right Contact Point
Make contact slightly in front of your body with a firm, extended hitting arm.

4. ⬆️ Swing Forward & Upward
Drive the racket forward and slightly upward. Think smooth and controlled—not rushed.

5. 🎯 Finish High
Let your racket finish high and keep your body balanced after the shot.

💡 BEGINNER REMINDER:
Don’t worry about hitting it perfectly right away. Focus on balance, preparation, clean contact, and a smooth swing.
