HAPPY SEA TURTLE WEEK 2026!

This week we join NOAA Fisheries in celebrating sea turtles and the global efforts to study, protect, and recover these incredible ancient mariners. All six species are endangered or threatened, yet they continue to inspire divers around the world.

Here in Palawan Island, we’re lucky to regularly swim with beautiful Sea Turtles like these. Whether gliding gracefully past divers or calmly resting on the coral, they never fail to create unforgettable moments.

These encounters fuel our passion for responsible diving and ocean conservation. Every dive we take supports awareness and respect for marine life.

Thank you to all the scientists, conservationists, and divers doing their part!

TODAY WE WANT TO RECOGNIZE AN INCREDIBLE ACT OF PROFESSIONALISM IN OUR DIVING COMMUNITY. 👏🫡

Italian President Sergio Mattarella has honored three Finnish divers — Patrik Grönqvist, Sami Paakkarinen, and Jenni Westerlund — with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for their role in the difficult recovery operation in a Maldives cave.

These skilled technical divers stepped up in extremely challenging conditions (narrow passages, poor visibility, and depth) to bring closure to the families. Their humility and dedication are truly inspiring. This sad incident is a solemn reminder of why we put so much emphasis on quality training, risk awareness, and never exceeding our limits.

Every diver should continue learning and prioritizing safety. Our thoughts are with the families of those who were lost and with the entire diving community. 🙏
